First off, I would like to tell all the owners thank you for making the 2025 season a memorable one for My Football Now. What a year 2025 was for MFN-1 as we saw some teams improve from last season, decline, a dynasty being created by Wolfpack and his Carolina Panthers, a superbowl rematch, and even some All-Time records that got broken, which I will get later into the ceremony.
Now lets take in review of the 2025 season as we start off with the respective position of the year awards starting with Quarterback of the year.
QB of the Year: New Jersey Quarterback Gene Day: Gene Day has developed into one of the most pro-efficient quarterbacks this league has seen over the last couple of years and he showed us exactly that in the 2025 season. Day threw 5,257 yards on the season coming up with 42 touchdowns versus 31 interceptions, leading up to an impressive 92.87 passer rating. He was sacked 36 times for a total of 274 yards, being sacked less than runner up QB Nicholas Bolin, who got sacked 44 times for 306 yards. Gene Day has become one of the most critically clutch players in MFN-1 and has led his team to multiple post seasons and championships, and he shows no signs of slowing down.
Running Back of the Year: Buffalo RB Javier Lewis: Lewis was the best running back hands down in the 2025 season, being the only RB to join the 2,000 rushing yard club with a whopping 2,293 yards on the season, making up for an incredible 7.3 yard average and hitting the endzone for 17 TD's. The 5 year pro helped bring the Bills to a 12-4 record in what is a tough AFC East Division, and Lewis made a statement in the 2025 season, reminding us that the Bills are hard charging going into the 2026 season. Runner up was San Diego's Gary Cruz, who rushed for 1,884 yards and 15 TD's.
Fullback of the Year: Dallas FB James Wilson: Wilson ,29, Proved to be a red zone target in 2025 despite being a Fullback as he rushed into the endzone for 6 six times to lead Fullbacks in Touchdowns. Wilson carried the ball 58 times for 144 yards to make up a 2.4 average per rush, not too bad for a Fullback. Runner up for FB of the year was Green Bay's Andrew Roy who caught the ball 15 times for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns, while only giving up a sack, just like Wilson.
Tight End of the Year: San Diego TE Jesse Cuevas: Cuevas was picked up just 2 years ago in the 1st round by San Diego coming from Delaware and immediately made an impact to the San Diego roster. He put together an outstanding year at the Tight End position catching the ball 59 times for 734 yards, bringing his average yards per reception to 12 while getting 5 Touchdowns on the season. His quickness and agility is a huge factor when playing against him and his quick play also plays apart in the blocking game, whether thats helping give running room to Gary Cruz, or blocking for the Quarterback as he only gave up 1 sack the entire season. Runner up was Carolina's Leon Lightfoot who had 30 receptions for 544 yards and 6 Touchdowns.
Wide Receiver of the Year: Jacksonville WR Dennis Pickett: In what was an underdog year for Jacksonville, one man stood above the rest on who contributed to the team week in and week out and that man was Dennis Pickett. The 7 year pro did not have the most receiving yards on the year, with 1,626 yards compared to runner up Chicago receiver Walter Maziarz with 1,768 yards on the season, But he was one of the most deadliest targets of the season, receiving 19 Touchdowns from Nicholas Bolin. Pickett's route running and speed combined to break the ankles of opposing defenders, and putting 6 up on the board. And if this season says anything about Pickett, it says the Bolin and Pickett connection is just beginning in Jacksonville.
Left Tackle of the Year: Pittsburgh LT Alexander Wang: Wang started and played in 12 games on the season, playing a total of 925 snaps trying to keep defenders from nailing the QB's blindside. He succeeded pretty well by only giving up one sack on the season, showing great pass blocking technique and great discipline, only getting one holding penalty. His contribution to the Steelers play and the amount of snaps he participated in is what gave him the edge in winning the award over runner up New Jersey LT Jose Cameron.
Left Guard of the Year: New York LG Terry Kiger: The big man played in most snaps of all 16 games, showing no mercy to opposing defensive lineman, giving up 0 sacks on the season while participating in 1,166 snaps. His quick wits helped him improve his gameplay on the season, including recovering a fumble on his team. Kiger's performance on the year was outstanding as he was the only guard to play in all 16 games and give up no sacks at all. Runner up was Philadelphia's LG Jonathan Sargent, who only started 13 games and participated in 15 games while giving up no sacks on the season as well.
Center of the Year: Buffalo C Tony Hester: "Weee'rrrrrree Great!" was the phrase C Tony Hester used on the games performance on the year as he helped his team to a positive 12-4 record by handling the snaps perfectly, blocking for the QB and giving up no sacks whatsoever on the season, all while playing 14 games on the season. He has proven to be successful in every aspect of an offensive lineman except for his discipline, where he committed 7 penalties for 55 yards. He looks forward to the 2025 season as he firmly believes the Bills have what it takes to build off the momentum they have now, and turn the 2026 season into a championship season. Runner up for Center of the year was St. Louis's Billy Hampton, who gave up a sack on the whole season while playing in the full stretch.
Right Guard of the Year: New York RG Fred Ramsey: New York's Guards have proven to be tough as nails this season as Ramsey like his team mate played in all 16 games, 1,168 snaps, and giving up 0 sacks on the season. Ramsey's athleticism proved to be too tough to contain for defenses around the league as Ramsey held his throne for the full 16. Ramsey looks to improve on his discipline as he committed 5 penalties for 45 yards. Runner up was Philadelphia RG Tommy Anderson who started 13 games while playing in 15 of them while not giving an inch to opposing defensive lineman, giving up 0 sacks.
Right Tackle of the Year: Pittsburgh RT Charles Martin: The 32 year old shows how being a veteran is not a negative thing as Martin played in 1,103 snaps in 14 games giving up only 2 sacks to opposing defenses. Selected in the 2015 draft in the 1st round from North Texas, Martin developed more as a run blocker than a pass blocker but still managed to give up little to defenses. His great strength and demanding physicality is a huge part in why he was most deserving of this award. Runner up was Tennessee RT Jordan Copeland who gave up 2 sacks as well on the season.
Punter of the Year: (You may be disappointed in this one Gussie) Detroit P Lawrence Money: In what was a struggling team in the Lions in 2025, it benefited Punter Lawrence Money as he Punted 129 times for 5,765 yards, averaging 44.7 yards per punt and had an astounding 29 punts inside the 20. His longest Punt on the season was a monster 79 yarder that ended up landing inside the 20 for the opposing team. His special boot helped his struggling team by making the opponents start from their own red zone which could benefit into next season if the team starts to turn the tables.
Kicker of the Year: Tennessee K Harold McMillan: The old man's still got it as the 36 year old had yet another consistent season, gathering up an 89% completion rating on field goals, 87% for 40+ and 85% for 50+ Field Goals. McMillan was perfect on the year, like many others were, on the extra point despite the positioning of the ball being moved back 10 or so yards on the extra points. McMillan's boot can decide games when they only need 3 to tie it or win it, but McMillan rarely lets the pressure get to him as he kicked his way to Kicker of the 2025 season.
Left Defensive End of the Year: Atlanta LDE Michael Jones: Jones is one of two defensive players to surpass the 2024 record of Francis O'Connor's all time sack leader of 150 sack in a career and this year was the Checkmate to that record. in what was a sack-heavy year, Jones led the LDE position in sacks this year with 34 of them, while making 27 tackles, knocking down an amazing 5 passes, and forcing a fumble. Jones has had quite a career being 34 years old, and if this will be his last season, it was sure a memorable one. Jones has always been a superior pass rusher since he got drafted in 2013 in the 5th round by Chicago, and he has been one of the most unstoppable defensive lineman in MFN history. Runner Up was Denver's Rubin Jones with 26 sacks, 2 pass knockdowns and 2 interceptions as a defensive end.
Defensive Tackle of the Year: Green Bay DT Richard Bias: The Green Bay product had a fantastic year, being both a run stopper and pass deflector. Bias got 41 tackles on the season, 7 sacks 3 passes knocked down and 1 interception that went to the house for 6. Considered one of the best run stoppers in the league, Bias came through in the clutch this year with pin point sacks and even showed some technique as a pass defender. For Bias, there is no Bias as he had the performance deserving of the DT of the Year. Runner Up for DT of the Year was Minnesota's Mark Pelham with 42 tackles and 14 sacks on the season.
Right Defensive End of the Year: Tennessee RDE Michael Martin: Utter and complete domination. That is the perfect sentence to describe RDE Michael Martin's 2025 season. Martin was uncontainable at the right side, taking the quarterback down a total of 48 times. Yes you read that right. 48 sacks for the 2 year pro from Furman. Along with his 48 sacks are 54 tackles, 1 pass knocked down, and a forced fumble. He played rough for the full 60 minutes of every game this season, showing quick speed, great block shedding, and unbreakable mentality. The closest runner up to Martin was Chicago's Terrence Weaver who had 10 less sacks than Martin on the season. Just an outstanding and ungodly performance by Michael Martin this year.
Strong Side Linebacker of the Year: Carolina SLB Alfred Malley: In what was another dominant season by Carolina, Malley was one of many crucial pieces to the puzzle of the Carolina defensive unit as he produced 54 tackles, 2 sacks, 14 passes knocked down, 3 interceptions and one returned for a Touchdown. Malley's positioning was perfect throughout the season as he provided another body to knock down passes while still completing the tackle in pivotal moments. Malley is the strength and core of the linebackers group for Carolina as he is expected to contribute more down the road for the Panthers. Runner up was Washington's Earl Phillips, who gathered the most tackles in the SLB position this year with 75.
Middle Linebacker of the Year: Arizona David Stallings: Stallings had a fantastic rookie campaign as Arizona's starting MLB as he assisted his team to the playoffs. Stallings finished the season with 73 tackles, 6 sacks 11 pass knockdowns, 4 interceptions, and a forced fumble. Not a bad rookie campaign if you ask me. Stallings is gonna be a defensive nightmare for years to come as he is still fresh and has a lot more to show the league in the future. He's quick, he's agile, he's intelligent, he is everything you need at a Middle linebacker as Arizona has a keeper in Stallings. The saying goes defenses win championships, and Stallings is a major step in the right direction for the Cards. Runner up was New England's MLB Steven Johnson with 94 tackles, the most of any linebacker this season.
Weakside Linebacker of the Year: Carolina WLB Gary Belanger: Carolina's Linebacker group is no joke as Belanger is 1 of 2 linebackers on Carolina's team to win their respective position of the year award. Belanger finished his successful season with 46 tackles, 3 sack, 8 passes knocked down, 3 picks and 1 returned for a TD. Belanger is another core member of the Panther LB corps that brings a major impact to every play. In only his second year, Belanger shows so much more room to develop, such as his tackling ability, and that brings nothing but good vibes to the Carolina front office. Runner up was Washington WLB Michael Montes who made 91 tackles and was the league's best tackling WLB.
Cornerback of the Year: Carolina CB William Blankenship: I'm not going to lie, this is the most difficult award to determine as so many cornerback's have an honorable season that i would have to make a different post to congratulate all of the corner's seasons. In this case, it was argueably the best corner in the game at 10 years pro who won it, William Blankenship, again part of a fierce Carolina defense. Blankenship had 77 tackles on the season, along with a league high and All time high 35 passes knocked down and 6 interceptions. Only 32% passes were complete against Blankenship on the season, only supporting the case why he is one of the best ever (61 passes complete over 186 passes thrown at). Blankenship is one of the league's most versatile, competitive, and outright talented players and will go down as one of, if not the greatest corner back the game has seen. Runner ups include Philadelphia Corner Joseph Buell with 92 tackles and a 33% pass completion against him (48 passes over 142 passes thrown at) and Dallas Corner John Lieb who had 121 tackles and a 37% pass completion against him (57 passes complete over 153 passes thrown at).
Free Safety of the Year: Cleveland FS Thomas Womack: Womack's uncanny ability to perform well at his position is one of the many reasons why he deserves to be FS of the Year. Womack collected 119 tackles, the most at his position in the league, 5 passes knocked down, and 1 interception. Opposing QB's completed only 22% passes against him (15 over 67) making him one of the most efficient Free safeties in the league. The former 1st pick of the 2023 draft, Cleveland hit the jackpot with Womack as his skills still develop and he matures more as a player as he is more likely than not gonna have a huge impact in the future of Cleveland. Runner Up was Arizona's Jimmy Lewis who got 5 interceptions, the most at his position.
Strong Safety of the Year: Buffalo SS Jerry Delacerda: Delacerda had a productive season this year, helping improve the defense buffalo has built over the past couple of years. Delacerda finished off 2025 with 97 tackles, 10 pass knockdowns, and 4 interceptions. Only 37% of passes were complete against Delacerda (41 over 109), proving how delacerda was a well position SS. The 5 year pro shows no signs of shutting down early as he has clearly made his decision to stay with the Bills for the next 5 years, wanting to define and establish the majority of his career in Buffalo. Runner up was Chicago SS Joseph Pagan, who intercepted the quarterback 5 times and was one of only 3 Strong Safeties to return an int. to the house.
Kick Returner of the Year: Detroit RB Donald Vick: Vick was entertaining to watch return the kickoffs, returning the ball 47 times for 1,236 yards, making for an 26 yard average on returns. He never made it into the end zone, but the 8 year pro managed to get the most yardage on returning kicks for the season. Watch out for Vick in 2026 as he will be looking to make more of an impact or special teams, hoping that 2026 will be the turnaround year.
Punt Returner of the Year: Atlanta Receiver Eugene Gillham: Gillham was electric on punt returns, breaking Jeremey Schultes All-Time Punt Return touchdown record set in 2023 by 4. Gillham returned the punt 53 times for an astonishing 1,693 yards and 15 touchdowns. Making for a 32 yard average on return, Gillham exploded on special teams this year in his prime at 5 years a pro. The 1st round pick in 2021 has always been good in the receiving game, but he decided that 2025 was his season to translate his success to special teams as well, and that was definitely the right decision.
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Cincinnati WR Larry Lamberth: Lamberth had a sensational rookie campaign as he was a huge target for Cincinnati in the passing game. Lamberth finished the season off with 54 receptions for an overly impressive 1,367 yards, averaging 25 yards per catch, and 8 touchdowns. Just simply amazing. From the moment he got drafted out of Clemson in the 1st round by Cincinnati, Lamberth knew he was going to take advantage in every way possible, and he probably knows hes going to be a star receiver for years to come. Runner up was Washington RB Michael Wiersma who carried the ball 169 times for 1,135 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Cincinnati CB Larry Benson: Cincinnati got their main guys both offensively and defensively for the future with CB Larry Benson having a phenomenal rookie campaign. Being drafted out of Notre Dame in the 1st pick of the 2nd round, Benson quickly adapted to the MFN environment and played very well for Cincinnati. Benson racked up over a 100 tackles, 2 sacks, 10 passes knocked down and an impressive 6 interceptions over the season. Benson's read of the offensive plays helped him sneak out the play and instigate the offense at the right time. 50 out of 120 passes thrown in his way were completed against him, with 41% of passes being completed against him, he still has room to improve. Runner Up was Houston's SS Leroy Fenell who gathered 105 tackles and 14 passes knocked down.
MVP of the Year: New Jersey Quarterback Gene Day: Day had an overall perfect year for New Jersey as his leadership and trust lead his team to the Championship round and won against Carolina for the 2025 MFN Championship. On the regular season, Day produced a 5,257 yard season with 42 Touchdowns versus 31 interceptions. He completed 61% of his passes for an overall QB rating of 92.87. Day has become one of the most must see pocket passer Quarterbacks MFN has ever seen, and his hard work and determination has lead him to his first MVP award. Congratulations to Gene Day for winning the 2025 Most Valuable Player of the Year Award!
Breakout Star of the Year: Tennessee RDE Michael Martin: Michael Martin had one of, if not, the most successful seasons as a defensive player in MFN history. He was the leader in sacks with 48 sacks on the season, enough sacks to break the All-Time 2024 record set by LDE Michael Jones (38). Martin is only in his 2nd year, and already is breaking All-Time records. If their is one thing we can assure of Martin, it is he's going to be a defensive nightmare to opposing offenses everywhere.
Ball Hawk of the Year: Dallas CB John Lieb: Lieb had a stellar year at Cornerback, picking the Quarterback off a season high 11 times and returned one for a Touchdown. At 30 years old, Lieb still proved to us why he is Dallas's starting CB after having a season where he read the QB's eyes the best and found the ball in his hands at the end of the day. Lieb hopes to start off where he left off in 2025, looking to turn the momentum around for his team in 2026. Congratulations John Lieb for winning the Ball Hawk of the Year Award!
Robert Pryor Award: Cincinnati SS Allen Cerna: This is a new award that will be presented each year for the man that made the most tackles in a season. Robert Pryor is a MLB that played for Baltimore for 12 years and is the current All-Time leader in tackles with 1,136 tackles. SS Allen Cerna had a huge season, not only getting the most tackles this season, but breaking an All-Time record in tackles for a season. Allen Cerna made 160 tackles this year, defeating the All-Time record in tackles for a season set by Robert Lerma in 2021 with 148 tackles. Congratulations Allen Cerna for being the most consistent tackler in the 2025 season!
Mr.Consistency Award: Washington MLB Anthony Powers: This award will be presented each year to the man who played the most snaps in a season. Anthony Powers has a love for the game that he shows for every snap as he played in all 16 games, started 14, to play in 1,429 snaps. Being consistent is showing contribution to the team and that you have the most effort put into your team. Congratulations to Anthony Powers for playing the most snaps in the 2025 season, and winning Mr.Consistency of the 2025 Season.
Comeback Team of the Year and Owner of the Year: Miami Dolphins and Owner Black Adder. From being last in the division in 2024 to 1st in 2025, the Dolphins came back with a force in 2025. A 6-10 record to finish off 2024 showed little signs of hope in 2025, especially with the division the Dolphins are in. But Owner Black Adder managed to turn his team a complete 180 degree turnaround and finished 1st in the AFC East Division making it to the divisional round before losing to New Jersey. Black Adder found the winning ways of the Dolphins now can he keep it up into next season and progress further towards his 1st championship? Congratulations to the Miami Dolphins and Owner Black Adder for winning their respective awards!
Rookie Coach of the Year: Jacksonville HC Daniel Wood: A 13-3 record for Wood as his 1st year as Head Coach sure looks good on a resume! From starting out as a backfield coach, to a offensive coordinator from 2021-2024, Wood has come a long way to make an average 8-8 Jaguars to a 14-2 playoff competitor. Wood's offensive experience and advice from owner RLWJR helped launch the Jacksonville Jaguars into 1st in the division. Congratulations Daniel Wood for winning rookie HC of the Year
Rookie Owner of the Year: Washington Owner Shawn18: Shawn18 turned the Redskins 2024 record of 4-12 to a 2025 record of 9-7 and division champions. From last to 1st in the division, Shawn18 came in the Redskins front office with authority as QB Luthor Deforge and company came out of the season with a spot in the playoffs. Shawn18, now to possibly enter his 2nd year as owner, has a lot more to show and with the way the skins were looking before, there will be nothing but good things to come from Washington. Congratulations Shawn18 for winning rookie Owner of the Year!
Coach of the Year: New Jersey HC Edward Moultry: Moultry has coached New Jersey since 2016 and has brought the MFN Championship trophy home to the Jets 3 times. You might as well call it four times now as the New Jersey Jets beat the Carolina Panthers 41-31! Moultry will go down in history as one of the most successful Head Coaches in MFN-1 history, and he has earned Head Coach of the year with yet another winning season!
Misfire of the Year: New England Patriots: Heading into 2025, the Patriots had momentum going into the season with a 13-3 record in 2024 making it to the wild card. The 1st game of the year, the Patriots lost in an upset to Denver which signified the direction their team would go in. QB Raney just never could get his feet set, getting sacked 83 times for 641 yards and they just could not translate the success they have been having the past few years into the 2025 season, finishing with a disappointing 5-11 record. The Patriots will be looking to go back to the basics in 2026 and try to get back to their winning ways.
That is it for the 2025 Season Award Ceremony, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! Hope you agree with most of everything and if you want to express your opinion on if I messed up, go ahead, so I can figure out how to better myself for the future. Tons on work went into this as I added more awards, did more research, and this whole thing took about a day and 1/2 to do. 6 hours of writing it, staying up until 4 a.m. to complete this, but hey its what I do, and I love it! Hope you enjoyed this write up, more off-season articles to come!
This has been the 2025 MFN-1 Season Award Ceremony, and i'm your host Micheal "Mr.Krazy" Kenseth signing off, goodnight!
