Update: Pull Starters Regular/Post Season

New feature pushed to the Misc gameplanning - pull starters for regular season/post season games. This fires the same logic as the pre-season pull starters in the 4th quarter if you are winning by the set number of points. The default is 35.

Note that once your starters have been pulled they will NOT return to the game, even if the other team makes a comeback.

Nice! I think 28 is the lowest I'd go for right now......

JDB,just my 2 cents.

I`m not a fan of this,I know it`s been banged on about in the forums but I can see problems from it.

I think you need to have position pull starters sliders.

,Senario...up in the 4th, you pull your starters on the O Line for instance

Not many teams carry more than 10 O Lineman on their active roster.Your back up LG gets injured badly, your back up LT has fatigue issues, your down to 3 O Lineman plus your back up TE`s to man the O Line...problems!

Who is going to risk pulling ALL starters when not more than 30plus infront?

Wouldnt it be better if you had a choice of just pulling your QB1,RB1,FB1,TE1,etc etc.etc,CB1.

Maybe you just decide to pull QB1, RB1, LDE1?

This would give you the option of pulling only your best players, leaving plenty of leeway for injuries and still having lots of good players on the field,as opposed to a blanket pull all starters option.

Thanks once again JDB for making this game better and better.

Good points. Or at least just pull offensive starters and let your defense play out.

I agree with it being by position and also an added in game injury status. I have had players actually listed as out during game still be playing.

Interested in seeing how many huge comebacks will happen with this.

Thanks for the effort, but I don't see this being a useful tool at this point.

It needs to be position specific, along with the ability to set rules about when to pull them and when to put them back in.

I don't think anything else would make sense to implement, at least not for my teams.

JDB,

Leading by 50 going into the 4th Q against CLE ,ALL my starters were pulled.

I checked to see who was playing...

on 1 play ,1 2 2 Personnel I had on my O Line......

TE my back up C
LT my RB 3
LG my back up LT
C my back up G
RG my WR 4
RT my WR 6
TE my back up TE (hurrah)

I think my earlier post is relevent here.

It works in the pre-season as you have 60 active players,it doesn`t work with only 46.

Do you think it would be better to add checkboxes to choose the positions to pull, maybe defaulting to just QB and RB? I want to keep the interface simple, I think a slider for each position would be more intimidating than I'd like.

I think that would be much better and honestly if you could do this for scoring wouldnt it be possible to do it for injuries as well?

I know I keep pushing the injury point but I honestly think that players that get injured during the game and still play have a huge impact on the game whether it slows them down or performance or even the greater chance of injury.
