The logic of using the previous season rank sucks. Things change every season with retirements/cuts etc. Why does the process not mirror the NFL? I have only tried the waiver pickup a few times and the player was picked up by a team with a better record each time.

If you can point me to official documentation about how the NFL does it, I would love to see it. I have been unable to find a description of the waiver claim priority calculation.

I suppose mfn system does mirror the nfl after all. I was not completely sure how it works either but found this: https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/2/3/5351372/2014-nfl-waiver-wire-how-it-works-guide

Using the previous seasons rank is EXACTLY how the NFL does it... for the whole next season. Main difference between NFL and MFN is the special rules for vested veterans. I think it makes sense here to require all players to go through the waiver wire.

Booger, I have some great players that have very low trade value...guys that go above their station. I do think the current "value" of a player relative to trade value needs to be looked at.

Just my 2 cents.

JDB has said repeatedly that the draft pick values are based on this chart (see link) and he is not going to change them.

Maybe not the exact link he used, but the same chart.

well JDB might want to update his trade metter values

link = https://www.patspulpit.com/2017/4/23/15398184/2017-nfl-draft-creating-a-brand-new-nfl-draft-value-trade-chart

Rich Hill of Pats Pulpit created a new one because he thought it was time to update the old one.

basically the link WarEagle posted JDB uses awhile the link i posted is what it should be updated to

Just my two cents and "trade value" should be based on DEFAULT value instead of an owner's attributes weights. Owners who have learned how to "Cheat" the system have used this to their advantage. And JDB allows this to happen with a "wink, wink, nudge, nudge"

Nope, trade value is already based on the default values for this very reason.

you just need to adjust the base weights of players to give valuable players more value based on attributes that mean more. :)
