I investigate every time someone brings a possible cheating situation to my attention, but can count on one hand the number of times I've found evidence that there is indeed cheating going on, and have dealt with it every time - and while I will take a strong stand against cheating I also don't want to go on a witch hunt myself and/or take premature action against someone who just did something that messed up his team without really realizing it. I don't doubt there are people here who are trying to get around the restrictions I've put in place, as long as you involve even a small number of people in a game like this - especially one you can play for free - it will happen. I choose not to be public in most of the things I do to counter this as well as any investigations I do - regardless of the outcome - for obvious reasons.

Just because you can't find evidence, doesn't mean its not happening, merely checking an IP isn't the 'be-all-end-all' of investigation.
Unfortunately its not hard to find a way around being detected, I blame google ;)

I'm 99% sure that there is at least one multi on here who is a regular user.

There's a lot more then one. Grandad might of jumped the gun on the subject before having so called concrete proof. I bet every honest owner is happy he did so. This needs to be addressed and become a focus so those fake owners have a harder time doing what they do. The commissioner idea for leagues for the trading issues would also help this problem depending on the commitment of each commissioner.

Also why is there not a limit on amount of teams you can own I have seen Rolltide ruin about 20 teams and help 20 others by trading away first rounders for 7 + year guys. I'll admit I made one with him for two future firsts but I also gave up players worth the picks. When you allow a owner to have 50 teams it not only effects each league by the time not spent due to all the teams that owner has, but it opens up a lot of opportunities because of the turnover rate. If only allowed five teams you won't abandon a team so easily. And teams won't become available for duplicate owners to takeover.

I don't like the 5 team limit.

I have more than 5, and none of them are non-competitive or suffer due to my having more than 5.

I probably have about 30 teams I'm guessing, a couple are still rebuilding after I took over poor rosters but the vast majority are competitive. I see no reason to limit it to 5.

I was using five as an example. I can't seem to get under ten teams so I know how hard it is with the amount of off season days to not have more then five. . That's not what I was focused on. I just went to LG 66 and counted five teams that have joined this season and it being there only team on the game. Also four of them haven't signed on for three or four days. Those kind of accounts are examples of what a dummy team might look like. It don't make sense for someone to sign up and join a league midway and take a losing team, and then when waiting for the playoffs they don't get another team to see what the game is all about and get some kind of practice. That would be impossible for me. It means they aren't into the game or they are dummy accounts.

To me I don't think that is fair to anyone who has more than 5 teams that you punish them because of 1 person who has multiple teams.

And I think to me when you start RESTRICTING people what they can do on a website then most likely you will have them just leave.

And considering there are many people who have more than 5 teams are you really willingly to lose them over something like that??

Like would you be ok losing WarEagle or lellow2011 from this website ?
Or I think even Morbid and Gustoon have more than 5 so would you be ok losing them??
I could go on but I think my point has been made.

anyway I don't know Roll Tide nor do I know anyone for that matter on this website but you know maybe he has to learn the hard way about what he should do and what he shouldn't do with the teams he has.

I would imagine it takes people like maybe a month on this website to figure what works and what doesn't work and that they shouldn't cripple their team by trading draft picks and I would imagine only way they will find out that stuff is by their seat of their pants like if their pants were on a frying pan.

What if leagues were split up into divisions which means only certain users can get into certain leagues and new owners start off in a group of leagues. Have so many leagues new owners can get in until they prove to be active or have success in a season .
How many of those leagues have more then 10 good owners ? How many have owners who don't change much? With leagues like some you can be competitive in any of them with a gameplan and a depth chart. That's one reason stats will be inflated or scores are lopsided. It mostly has to with the teams who don't make any adjustments or roster moves. I've been in them with you . Not saying it's easy to win it but its not hard to make the playoffs. I know there are more then a few competitive leagues , there's not much that can be done all at once to fix this. Every league I have joined there is always a group of dominating owners and are 14-2 every season. Average points a game around 50.

Punisher come on man .. What are you talking about?
I dident say punish teams and wasn't a huge suggestion to limit teams. I have 10 teams so I ban myself.

In the case of roll tide , I don't care about his teams, it's the first rd draft picks he's throwing around for a 8 th year DT 75 and a 9 th year WR who is 78. He has made between 20-40 trades like that. In all 40 leagues he has joined in a month. Does that help or hurt leagues?

I'm trying to suggest ideas like anyone else , you are protecting something that makes leagues less competitive .
Let me rephrase the five team limit .. That's not the problem it's 50 teams down to say 25 for you. Is that enough rosters to build? Three seasons ago in LG 19 You drafted a FS with the 1-19 pick and switched him to DT and forgot , and then traded him away. That owner switched him back and he was a 71-88 3rd year saftey who you had as your 4 th DT at 61 rating. Tell me this was probably due to the fact that you don't remember the moves you make because your coaching 1,150 players..

We went over that player. He has 65 Speed as a S, which means he has marginal value as an Every Down Safety, which is what you Draft a 1st Round Safety to be (every down).

So it was a Bust Pick.

Either Move Position or Cut. So he moved to DT, as his DE's are already way faster... but his DT has Depth so the guy couldn't get on the field (I mean, his Starting DT has 85 freaking speed... new guy isn't even Defensive Line Fast for Punisher's Team).

It was a good Trade all around, with Punisher getting a Speed DB (CB), which is what he was hoping for when he Drafted Seaman. And the other Team, Cincy, got an 'Extra LB in the Box' type of S that they use specifically in Packages.

I really don't see the issue here at all, nor does this look like he 'forgot' about this player.

I'm not saying he doesn't forget players, I'm saying IN THIS EXAMPLE every action taken by BOTH TEAMS is perfectly reasonable. Yet it keeps being brought up as some example.
