in all seriousness, i think the worst thing you can do is change your strategy for each code. I get it that you have to roll with punches but as soon as you build for a code it gets changed and you are back to square one. Ive kept the same core beliefs since i started and try to adjust to codes with gameplanning. By getting the best athletes you can move them around where they are best utilized. 4.4 the wr is negated so i cant say how 4.5 is. In my opinion a great QB is always going to be important, skilled players (RB and WR) as well as DB's and pass rushers. Ive always found oline is a **** shoot with many high rated guys getting destroyed in protection but i usually go by the eye test with them. In the last couple codes the TE has become utilized more and more so that's a position that has become more important. I will always build my rosters similarly but never will i force a draft based on a position. i'm sure setherick will give you a position by position ranking :)

Looking at who touches the ball on 1 season of 4.4:
On offense
QB-TE-WR1- RB - FB -Other WRs
On Défense looking at stats
MLB - Cb1- RDE - WLB - SS- CBs

In my team, my DT's are racking up the sacks. In general my DL. (well, max 2 sacks in 3 games, but still. DT got a safety and INT too)

Offense, it's my WR1 and TE doing most damage, but since long passes (afaik) are less viable (as they should be, they should be a bonus, not a mandatory thing), it makes sense. If Medium Passes are better than I give them credit for, TE and WR should be more present than RB in passing game.

Is it coincidence that when I look through my league (on 0.4.4), that it looks like WR 1 makes the biggest plays, but WR 3 gets most passes?

I don't think any position is too overrepresented if you make a balanced game plan (like I've tried). I'm just wondering why my 70 OVR WR3 seemingly have the same targets/receptions like my WR1 and 2 combined. I'm thinking it's something to do with coverage and the routes WR3 is asked to run (out of the slot).

So can I gameplan for this with my depth chart and put my top reciever in the slot and stuff like that?

Edit: Added stats for my own team through 4 regular season games.
