Arron Donald alone last season had more pressures than whole teams on 4.6. So lowering pressures wouldn’t emulate RL. So why do that . With short passes , ones with quicker releases, sacks and hurries plummet below nfl levels and for longer passes the complete opposite happens.

No balance there , QBs will stand there....not even back up more or roll out or run it. They will just take a sack because the dump off are ignored and the deep ball (Coverage)is tough.

If anything pressures need to be higher and sacks lower only on longer developing pass plays

We all discussed it, some tried it and we looked at the stats produced over seasons in leagues using BETA and found it wanting!!!

Leagues have adopted custom rules so the punt block hasn't been an issue for a year in 4.5

We addressed issues with underweight players playing out of position and the users help fix 4.5 so leagues became competitive and remained fun!

4.6 can't be fixed with custom rules, it's passing is broken period!!! There is no denying that based on the results over multiple seasons in multiple leagues.


I'm not gonna request to remain in 4.5, I want a front row seat for what happens next and see how bad it gets!!

I keep hearing we can request to stay at 4.5, which sounds nice on the surface. What is the time window to get this done? Must we wait for the current season to end? And if so, when is the latest he can switch? Is it before free agency 1? The draft? What happens if JDB disappears for awhile again, and league's can't be turned back to 4.5?

I've been playing this game since v4.2. I've watched people **** & moan about every version that has been released since I started playing. I've watched the endorsers of each new version as it was released argue with its dissenters. Everyone is going to have an opinion.

This is your brainchild. This is your dream. Keep working on it! Keeping trying to improve it! You've come a long, long way with this game of yours. I, for one, appreciate it immensely! It gives me a place to escape reality. It gives me a place to run a team & measure my abilities against others with a similar interest.

I hope this game becomes what you envisioned, JDB. It's already made it a helluva long way from where it started!

Agreed. As much as I rant about the game, it's by far my favorite simulation game right now. I specifically like how it has something for everyone, including data nerds like myself.

I agree 100% and I have been one to complain at times. You only missed one point there CR and I cannot stress this enough to so many of you IT'S FREE! like that commercial FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE, FREE! It's a game in develpopement that's FREE. I do understand the frustration of putting in time and effort building teams and such but hey it's not like your paying a monthly fee to play. come on man it a real good game and it's FREE. that said, I thank you as well JDB for giving this old geezer lots of laughs, fits of rage, keeping me up nights and helping me cope through a pandemic. I have met a ton of people and made some friends I am just over 5 RL years in this game and I have had my ups and downs, but I say a prayer now and again that it will all come together one day for you. The block came from the left wing rusher, which is something to check. I'm building a table currently in Big Data to track punt blocks, so let's see what the data says.
