This was neccessary so there is no confusion about the leagues concept and rules. I know this league isn't for everyone but I hate booting owners so I want everyone to know what they are getting into.
I applied for Minnesota, meaning Oakland is up for grabs Wolveraider. My XFL team used to be Minnesota before I moved them to Kettering/Dayton, and I don't hate the Vikings, so there's that.
When I see new leagues formed with NFL themes, it seems like the NFC North (Chicago, Green Bay, Minnesota, Detroit) always fills first and the AFC South (Houston, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Indianapolis) always fills last. Weird that it seems to happen that way in almost every new league, at least that is my personal observation.
I was planning on taking an AFC South team but I wanted a West Coast Offense and those are the Jets, Miami, Kansas City, Minnesota, San Francisco and the Rams. I flat out did not want the Chiefs for obvious reasons and did not want an AFC East team, so no to Jets and Fish. San Francisco is a popular team so I left them alone and chose Vikings over Rams.
Also, the top 10 picks in Round 1 seem to fill pretty quickly.
I'll admit Vikings picking 5th was a factor, but I would have also taken a team picking at the bottom of round 1. I like having picks sort of close together during an allocation since it's easier on me while I'm working or sleeping.
This isn't fantasy but I picked 11th out of 12 in my fantasy league and much preferred that to picking 2nd. In the allocation, sure I pick 5th, but that's a big wait for my second player.
