Someone posted this awhile back in the forums, so I feel it's okay to repost .. I saved it because I think it has a bunch of good info. Whoever originally posted this .. thank you

"Top Attributes (in order)

QBs -- Intelligence, Scramble, Arm, Accuracy, Lookoff, Release
Analysis: Intelligence helps the QB learn plays, which is essential. Scramble affects accuracy on the move. You can expect your QB to be on the move 70-80% of the time regardless of how good your OL is until changes are made to the passing game.

This game changes so much probably half that stuff is nullified now ... lol

That's from my post during v.3.2 of the code. A lot of that is still probably true, but I'm going with a different approach for QBs now.

100 Accuracy
33 Scramble, Intelligence, Arm, FOV, Look Off
1 Everything else

In 76, I'm drafting the best, fastest, nastiest pass block line I can just to experiment with QBs. Will I break 60% completion? No eff'ing way.

You make that sound hard but there were 11qbs in MFN 74 last season that broke the pct60 and that only counts qbs making 350+ attempts

or they lined their tight ends at wr with overrides. Maybe they were a goaline defense or ran a lot of 1-2-2. There's ways to involve tightends but its not the most successful way to win that i've seen on mfn

MFN-7

QB Benny Worrell
INT 95 DISC 88 PASS ACC 100 ARM STR 89
PASS REL 84 SCRAM 78 BREAK TKL 100 BALL CARRY 100 AVOID FUM 86/89
FOV 100 LOOK OFF 100

Smart, disciplines, accurate and good enough arm. Decent Release to get it out, decent Scramble to throw on the run, great Ball Carry to use all his available speed when running, great Break Tackle to extend a play, good Avoid Fumble. Amazing Look Off and FOV, should see everyone and be able to hold a Defender with his eyes.

Those Abilities might as well say "0" because of his 4 Speed.

I traded him and Drafted this **** guy instead, who does just as good.

Rookie QB William Anderson
56 INT 30 DISC PASS ACC 47/66 ARM STR 38
Pass Release 63 SCRAM 22 BREAK TKL 87 BALL CARRY 64/76 AVOID FUMBLE 43/47
60/81 FOV 67 LOOK OFF

Forrest Gump dumb. Has the discipline of Ricky Bobby's kids when all jacked up on Mountain Dew. Couldn't hit a barn, on any side, from inside the barn. Has the Arm Strength of an Amputee. Slow release, but he makes up for it with an inability to Scramble. Good Break Tackle, but meh Carry and Avoid Fumble. Bad FOV and Look Off.

He's ****. He the substance that **** would ****, if **** could ****.

But he's got 98 Speed... so he plays every bit as well as Worrell.

To compare them, MFN-7 2023. I traded Worrell for a 1st Round Pick, picked up William Anderson in the 6th Round.

Benny Worrell. 56.8%, 7.96 YPA, 12 TD to 23 INT, 69.31 Rating. (He's a 7 Year Vet).
William Anderson 45.3%, 5.55 YPA 6 TD to 12 INT, 50.72 Rating. (He's a Rookie).

Now obviously Worrell is the 'better' QB... his % and YPA show that... but both are 1:2 on TD:INT... and both such at %. The only thing that even looked remotely like a QB Stat was Worrell's YPA. He's like if you took Tim Tebow's % and YPA and replaced the TD:INT with Johnny Manziel's.

To make it even more confusing, I give you the guy that replaced Anderson. James Garret hit on 60% at 6.42 for 12 TD and 7 INT at a Rating of 84.25.

His Abilities?
83 INT, 86 DISC, 62 ACC, 52 ARM
73 Release, 63 Scramble, 86 Break Tackle, 98/100 Avoid Fumble, 6 Ball Carry
61/62 FOV, 76 Look Off

66 SPD.

Decently wsmart and disciplined. Bad Acc, Bad Arm. Meh release and Scramble. Good BT, great Avoid Fumble. Can't run with a Football (6 Ball Carry) Bad FOV, Meh Look Off. Not really fast but not slow.

Some how THAT guy is the best QB of the 3.

If I could Punt on 1st I would, better chance of getting a Safety or TD with my D than understanding what makes a QB work. Wing T, here I come!

Two TE'S made 800+ yards in mfn74 last season
They must be doing something right

98 SPD, 100 ACC, 98 STR
98 INT, 99 DISC
81 CATCH, 98 COURAGE, 89 BREAK TKL, 92 BALL CARRY

That's Leon Arana.

I went with ever 2 TE Set I could find, even 3 TE (Goal Line). I picked every play that mentioned TE.

In 12 Weeks he had 36 Receptions for 293 Yards at 8.1 YPR and 1 TD.

I was so disgusted I moved him (and my Back Up TE) to RB. He's a 1K Back who is improving every Year despite being over 250 pounds. Sergio also produces a lot more as a RB than as a TE.

I use Sergio in 4 Wide 0 TE and Arana in 5 Wide since they are MUCH better than my 4th and 5th WR and they still contribute little in the Passing Game.

There are very few LB that can hang with Leon, yet the ball simply doesn't go to him. He was a wasted pick since he's not at all doing what I Drafted him to do and I had to completely scrap my Scheme (Pats 2 TE Ball Control). So now I have Christian Okoye at RB instead of Gronkowski at TE. Thank god he's improving at RB or he'd be worthless.

It's too bad Arana's Pass Block wasn't better. You could have made him a OT.

If he can cut another 15 pounds I think his YPC will rise dramatically and he'll be a really effective Power Back.

He had 2,500+ All Purpose Yards last season, hitting over 1K Rushing while being the Punt and KO Returner. Even broke a PR for a TD.

So instead of the Offense going through him at TE, it goes through him at RB.

I considered OL for him, but part of his 'bust' was the Pass Blocking as you noticed. Thought about FB as well, where he could Run Block but still catch and run. Figured the easiest way to ensure he got the ball was RB, so that's where he ended up.

My MFN-76 Team is Offensive and based on Passing, as an attempt to try to learn what ever I can about it. Had a 3K guy there, but it was Year 1 of the League so stats could be funky (he's a WR that made plays despite **** poor QBs).

The game is still fun, and I enjoy the **** out of it. Just wish certain things in it made more... sense... I guess. I no world should William Anderson or James Garrett be almost as good or ever better than a Benny Worrell, and a TE like Arana should be capable of dominated as, well, a TE.
