Re: Mr. Krazy's 2023 Mock Draft and Pos. Awards

Hello all!

Even though we are still in the middle of the 2023 season, which has been
a very exciting season thus far, I would like to acknowledge that I will be doing
another Mock draft for the 2024 draft class once it is released since last years
Mock Draft was an instant hit.

Again, I will release the Mock draft probably around the 3rd week of late F.A.
so I have more of a chance to guess who your team would pick in the 1st round once the noteable Free agents are taken.

Something i'm adding for this years offseason as the "official" post-season report
is the 1st Annual MFN Position awards. Just like the MVP of the super bowl, but different,
after the championship game I will take a look at all the stats for every position, and
based on performance in all of the statistical categories, I will list the top player for each position played.

Something along the lines of: MLB of the year is... WR of the year is... and I will
also add Offensive player and Defensive player of the year awards based on
their stats and performance. I am doing this to add creativity and something fun
to read during the offseason until something similar is implemented into the game
(which I don't expect to be anywhere near the top of the priority list).

If the MFN Player Awards receive some positivity, I will also make a list of
the Top 50 Players of the 2023 Season!

I am more than happy to be doing this during the offseason as it gives me
something enjoyable to do during the free time I have. If you guys have
any suggestions for me to add any reports, or other miscellaneous things, feel free to ask!

Can't wait for the offseason myself to research all of the results!

In fact here is a little 'teaser' for all of you as here are the lead candidates for Offensive Rookie of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year:

Offensive Rookie of the Year Candidates:

1st- Carolina receiver Harry Ehlers: 46 receptions for 787 yards for an average reception of 17 yards. Also has the most punt return yards at 1,233 yards along with 9 punt returns for a TD. Currently the leader in special teams punting wise.

2nd- Dallas Running Back Miguel Call: 135 carries for 894 yards, averaging 6.6 yards per carry, leading Rookie RB's in rushing yards.

3rd- Chicago Quarterback Matthew Hicks: Hicks has 2,899 yards on the season so far and has 14 touchdowns. He is the starting QB for the Chicago Bears, which currently leads the NFC North division.

Defensive Rookie of the Year Candidates:

1st- New York Cornerback David Sauceda: Sauceda has 66 tackles for the season with 11 pass knockdowns and 3 interceptions. 1 of those interceptions was returned for a TD.

2nd- New England Cornerback Albert Johnson: Johnson leads rookie Cornerbacks in tackles with 67, and has recorded 15 pass knockdowns with 2 interceptions so far.

3rd- Washington Weak Linebacker Micheal Montes: Montes has had an outstanding rookie campaign with 64 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, and is the starting WLB in Washington.

4th- New Orleans Cornerback Gary Shepard: Shepard leads the rookie DB class in Interceptions with 4, meanwhile having 16 knockdowns and 48 tackles.

5th- Denver Cornerback Chuck Bailey: Bailey leads the rookie DB class in pass knockdowns with 18, having put forth 46 tackles and 2 interceptions.

Do you agree with the list so far? Any of the stats that I listed on players that should be more important than other stats, thus moving them up in the standings?

I could only do so much research on positions as I just went to player stats from the homepage.

Just a suggestion, definitely doesn't have to be implemented right away, but Jdavid, can I ask that you put a edit filter button on player stats, so I and everyone else can filter out certain positions to look at stats in their respective positions? Kinda like how you can filter positions in the FA page?

Just off the rookie CB's I see it the same, but close. Just off visible stats good ones and bad.
1.Johnson 33.9 total points and .505% based off total plays played
2.Suaceda 31.4 / .458%
3.Sheppard 29.8/.387%
4.Bailly 25.5/.354%
And I'll throw my other rookie CB in as his injuries have lowered his numbers, but per snap he's slightly above Bailly.
5.Waldron 19.0/.356%

Personally, though just watching games I know how bad Shepard is. He lets up alot of big plays. I wish the game could talley seperate run/ pass (per individual) snaps and also the total yards receeded by the CB. Thats a true measure. Cause in my eyes Waldron is my better CB. Hands down. He just does not get thrown at much. Good stuff Krazy!
