Can't wait for the offseason myself to research all of the results!
In fact here is a little 'teaser' for all of you as here are the lead candidates for Offensive Rookie of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year:
Offensive Rookie of the Year Candidates:
1st- Carolina receiver Harry Ehlers: 46 receptions for 787 yards for an average reception of 17 yards. Also has the most punt return yards at 1,233 yards along with 9 punt returns for a TD. Currently the leader in special teams punting wise.
2nd- Dallas Running Back Miguel Call: 135 carries for 894 yards, averaging 6.6 yards per carry, leading Rookie RB's in rushing yards.
3rd- Chicago Quarterback Matthew Hicks: Hicks has 2,899 yards on the season so far and has 14 touchdowns. He is the starting QB for the Chicago Bears, which currently leads the NFC North division.
Defensive Rookie of the Year Candidates:
1st- New York Cornerback David Sauceda: Sauceda has 66 tackles for the season with 11 pass knockdowns and 3 interceptions. 1 of those interceptions was returned for a TD.
2nd- New England Cornerback Albert Johnson: Johnson leads rookie Cornerbacks in tackles with 67, and has recorded 15 pass knockdowns with 2 interceptions so far.
3rd- Washington Weak Linebacker Micheal Montes: Montes has had an outstanding rookie campaign with 64 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, and is the starting WLB in Washington.
4th- New Orleans Cornerback Gary Shepard: Shepard leads the rookie DB class in Interceptions with 4, meanwhile having 16 knockdowns and 48 tackles.
5th- Denver Cornerback Chuck Bailey: Bailey leads the rookie DB class in pass knockdowns with 18, having put forth 46 tackles and 2 interceptions.
Do you agree with the list so far? Any of the stats that I listed on players that should be more important than other stats, thus moving them up in the standings?
I could only do so much research on positions as I just went to player stats from the homepage.
Just a suggestion, definitely doesn't have to be implemented right away, but Jdavid, can I ask that you put a edit filter button on player stats, so I and everyone else can filter out certain positions to look at stats in their respective positions? Kinda like how you can filter positions in the FA page?
