Chuck Bailey has been huge for us, it's amazing how many times I see his name in the play by play.

Just off the rookie CB's I see it the same, but close. Just off visible stats good ones and bad.
1.Johnson 33.9 total points and .505% based off total plays played
2.Suaceda 31.4 / .458%
3.Sheppard 29.8/.387%
4.Bailly 25.5/.354%
And I'll throw my other rookie CB in as his injuries have lowered his numbers, but per snap he's slightly above Bailly.
5.Waldron 19.0/.356%

Personally, though just watching games I know how bad Shepard is. He lets up alot of big plays. I wish the game could talley seperate run/ pass (per individual) snaps and also the total yards receeded by the CB. Thats a true measure. Cause in my eyes Waldron is my better CB. Hands down. He just does not get thrown at much. Good stuff Krazy!

Your right.

It was definitely a hard decision to determine which corner was performing better than the other. I think next time, I'll also calculate the throw at stat vs. the knockdown stat to get a percentage.

Thank you.

I add thrown at plus knockdowns minus catch allowed. The higher the number the better..I guess? Its very bias....but poor corners rack up the stats sometimes because they might get targeted alot. At least its level for all players. (that is why I looked at total plays, to get an idea how many times teams passed against the CB) You want your CB to get incompletions, knockdown potienal catches, and of course force turnovers. But for me I want the to not allow alot of yards. Its tough to judge for sure, but thats how/why these guys scored. BTW I like the idea of comparing Thrown at to knockdown, because it will show how often the CB was in postion to make a play. Ruling out some variables of QB ball placement.

I think its deceiving as well as my CB Johnson has been beat a lot this season. I would look at a starting CB who isnt making a lot tackles first as he probably isnt being thrown at.

I would like to ask MrFakeName how you calculated the points variable for the players.

Really it should be 5 point 34somthing. I moved a decimil a point for ease of division. Like he scored 330 or 33.0 in my ratings. I divided 330 by lets say 772 total plays to get .534% when I should have wrote 5.346%. Really my point was to show how some poor corners sometimes on poor teams rack up stats by more opportunities. Sorry about that laziness on that one. I am a slow typer.

But to get the 33.0 score I use all the visible stats that a player tallies. Then modified them alittle to what should be valued to win. But WR and CB are tough to grade in that respect. Its like 55 tackles and 10 missed tackles I would grade that a 9.0. ( 55-10)/5. 100 thrown at plus 20 knockdowns minus 50 catches allowed i would grade a 14.0. 100+20-50)\5. Sacks and Interceptions are worth one whole point. FF and FR I divide by five also. The also get points if they get yards and TD's and I take away points for Fumbles, throwing ints, penalties and yards lost, QB's lose points for getting sacked and other visable stats like that. It is in a very crude form, but I applied a little in league 9? for fun. But my system favors offensive guys, and only values stats. Not actual winning or losing. A fine tuning is needed that is why I joined a few more leagues to compare. Figured this was the best place.

I really like your logic, a little tough at 1st but as I read through it, it made more sense. I might use that logic when I do the awards if you don't mind?

I may make up my own logic because when I made the offensive and defensive ROY candidate list I just made it based on certain stats suchs as interceptions and pass knockdowns are more valuable than tackles and such. I will make and updated list after this week with new logic and then we'll see if it makes more sense

Thanks! I havent had much time lately so I was hoping you might like it and possibly use it. Ive had since some a while back when some were suggesting probowls/ awards, but just have no time or speed/ knowlegde of computers to use it.
