Perhaps this can be a crude grading system for Oline, TE, and FB? Only use running plays, but not qb scrambles. Take the three players around the "hole" of the play, and grade them with this formula for each run. Maybe you could flip it for for the defenders, but it might only work out with D line men. There i could live with TFLs anyway.
For some reason i think it might help with run blocking evaluation. Or something similar. It would be interesting to see what scores would pop up. I think there would be a direct linking of success, but hopefully it would match up with ratings, and gameplan. Not too much one way or the other.
