Kicking game

Jon...afraid something is messed up again.

FF and I were a combined 0-5 on FG attempts and even had a missed XP.

Your kicker's accuracy is in the 20's, his is in the 30's. They both have high potential (you more than FF) but you're not going to get a very accurate kicker with a current rating that low.

No kicker comes out of college with that low a rating. That and punting are basically the two positions that need very little adjustment from college to the pros.

You're probably right, I'll look at making an adjustment to that before the next draft. Searching the league by current kick rating there are defensive linemen with better current kick accuracy than your kicker :-/

On a similar note, I also noticed that long snappers didn't come out very well either. I made an adjustment already for future player creation to have more good long snappers.

I share nero's point of view that the kicking game is broken ATM. Bottom line is, any rookie off-the-street kicker should be able to kick XPs and 30-yard FGs consistently. Three of my kicker's misses were 30 yards or less. If a current 35 accuracy kicker is so bad he can't even kick XPs, it makes him useless, no matter what his future, because there's no way he's getting the X number of games he needs to reach his potential (except for the fact that there's no one better available right now). And if a 35 is this bad, I don't even want to know what Buffalo's kicker is like. At 8/93 accuracy, instead of being a great prospect, he might as well be cut.

This is a huge blow to competitiveness and I don't think it can wait for next season for a fix.

I changed the logic for kicker and punter creation, and did a manual update to match how it will be creating kickers in the future. All kickers' current values should now be significantly improved.
