my kicker's 70% is 51 yards. It's not that unusual that he would miss in the 40's...thanks for keeping an eye out in the case it needs adjusting. I wouldn't want it to be too predictable for sure but may need a slight tweek.

This is the log from a missed FG in our last game. Very odd. My kicker was short on a 34 yard FG (okaaaaay), but so short that he kicked it backward 3 yards?? Or should it have read that the ball was placed at the 20 due to the miss inside the 20 yard line?

4-5-CAR 17 (3:43) 19-Patrick Hart 34 yard field goal is NO GOOD. (Short) recovered by TEN-77-James Foy at CAR 20. Tackle by 68-Michael Whited. Turnover on downs.

Wow, congratulations, you are the recipient of the very first blocked field goal! Apparently I'm missing some stat information to that regard.

Ok, I've made some adjustments to the FG kicking game. If anything now they may be too accurate - but I am still seeing misses, so they're not perfect. A 50-accuracy kicker should now hit 99.57% of XP's with a 100-rated holder and 99.53% with a 0-rated holder. He'll be about 90% from 40 yards and 85% from 50.

I actually logged the calculations this time, here are the probability numbers on each of the 3 attempts:

37-yard FG had a 98.37% chance of success. It also got caught a little by the 9MPH winds.
40-yard FG had a 96.66% chance of success. This one just plain missed.
49-yard FG had a 93.65% chance of success. It also got caught by the wind.

I may tone down the wind effect on the flight of the ball, on a calm day you would have made both the 37 (maybe, it actually was really close even on a calm day) and the 49 yarder, but would still have missed the 40-yarder.

I missed 2 extra points and for some reason used a SS for one of the XP attempts.

That's really weird about the SS doing the kicking. Looks like he did a couple of kicks. I'll need to look and see if I can figure out why that happened. Anyone else have a non-kicker kicking field goals?

As for the real kicker's missed XP, he had a 99.00% probability for success so the fact that he missed was a 1-in-100 probability. In fact, the level of error on his launch had a probability of 0.89%.

I added some debugging code to spit out why it is choosing a non-kicker when there is a kicker in the depth chart, and also added some additional testing to hopefully prevent one possible cause. Let me know if it happens again.
