I like elite to be elite. And the rest are fluff. So many one hit wonders in the nfl and so few who do it year in and year out.
I would think if you had 95 rated player you would want him to win most of the time. Not under perform and still be rated high.
There are so many effective systems that work here just like the nfl. But you don't see the Patriots filled with 99 rated players . ....they are a great team because of how there 75 rated players are used .
Here that team full 99s is winning games game in and game out no matter the plan/ approach.
The more emphasis put on more higher rating the less effectiveness will be put on other nuances this game has to offer.
But I do agree some classes/positions should vary greatly in what each draft has to offer.
Looking back it seemed 28'-30' had high 80 s being the 30th best player. The rest seemed to be low 80 s to high 70s at that point .
One thing to point out of those good draft years almost all of those players were draft before 2.6. It's seems these weaker drafts causes users to gamble a bit more earlier . ....this newest set of drafts seem to have much deeper talent pool . Allowing for less early gambles that will drive chances of getting a perennial pro bowler later.
