How do you feel about the state of 0.4.3?

With the most recent updates, I'm feeling like in general the issues that still remain are not show-stoppers and can be pushed to 0.4.4. I wanted to get your feedback and opinion.

0.4.3 does not have any major bugs that should prevent it from being released

0.4.3 still has some bugs that are show stoppers, but it's very close

0.4.3 is still a long way off from being playable

I voted for a release . The main reason is because all the pieces are there, but if one tweak could be made it would be the a non linear adjustment to how passes are decided to send the recievers in to dive mode.

The wr adjustment to the pass seems non linear. In other words it happens more on long passes and less on short passes. If not , it should be that way. But to add another element or to refine the current one guys should slow down less and less often the shorter the pass is.

The scale that is adjustment on how much they slow down compared to the scale that is a complete stop .

Say a wr has 100 speed and an adjustment makes him have 50 speed and a dive zero......

Perhaps an adjustment of him having 75 speed after the catch , then a 50 , then a 25 and finally a zero if he dives.

The goal would to have a whole adjustable scale pending the wrs/qbs abilities that allows for less complete stops on short passes and more on long passes. Not just the two options of an adjustment or dive.

Still, I will take what I can get as qb air yards are a bit more in line with the nfl. Same goes for the qbs yards per attempt , yards / completion , and sacks. I am tired of all season long a 50 completion percentage and 25 yards per catch for elite qb/wr combo winning games.

Cause IRL there is plenty of adjustments on short passes just not so many complete stops.

I said it has bugs, but whatever, release it. I already have notes on how to write a spread, vertical offense guide since short passes won't work.

If released as is, any experienced owners will claw their way to a thrilling 7-3 shootout featuring frequent turnovers and QB ratings sometimes spiking into the high 70s.

I benched some starters for the season finale, since I already secured the No. 1 seed, but our game underscores some core problems. The biggest head-scratcher is actually unrelated to passing woes: My RB with 100 avoid put the ball on the ground four times. Nothing else matters until passing is resolved, but it shows this game has a long way to go before it can be taken seriously. Maybe fumbles, speed ratings, player generation and playbook problems will be addressed by version 6.7.

My winning "drive" was my favorite four play stretch of this round of testing.

a) Watch these back to back to back to back plays because they are a good example of why passing is still utterly broken. First play, QB throws downfield, across the field, into tight coverage and the WR makes an amazing catch to get it. Second play, QB throws a 5 yard in to a wide open WR and the WR can't come close to making the play on the ball. Third play. QB misses another wide open WR badly. Fourth play. QB hits a wide open WR for a 29 yard gain (~40 yards through the air.) But the WR has to come to a complete stop to catch it. Here's everything that's wrong with the passing game still: 1) ***** in to tight coverage completed way too often still, 2) short passing game is still jacked, 3) QBs can't hit wide open WRs when they are within 20 yards, and 4) wide open WRs that do catch the ball have to come to a complete stop. Now, imagine watching 16 games of that and not thinking it's complete BS. Because I think that's where most players are going to feel. They are going to ignore all of the good parts of 0.4.3 because the game is more illogical now than before.

It's representative but not a good test cause nfl coaches would put different plays out there.

PrettY agressive defensive plan when a team has 80 yards to go with such little time to play and no time out for the offense.

I think a prevent zone defense would be an nfl tactic here. Give up those short routes and allow underneath completions while forcing recievers to the middle to prevent them from getting out of bounds to stop the clock.

Really the whole game was agressive . 60 blitzes out of 110 plays (55%) and no strick zones called. CBS were in man all game long. The qb numbers looked great imo with those parameters.

I am not disputing the zones effectiveness under this code, but they would be the likely calls given those senerios .

If this code is released somebody will break it and more adjustments will be made.

Heavy man-to-man coverage is hardly unique at any level of football, "agressive" or not.

As our game one week earlier showed, the code as released in beta leagues is already easy to break: https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/box/1957

I mean, hey, if all you care about are stats, 0.4.3 LOOKS AMAZING! The game play is awful, but the stats look GREAT.
