How do you feel about the state of 0.4.3?

With the most recent updates, I'm feeling like in general the issues that still remain are not show-stoppers and can be pushed to 0.4.4. I wanted to get your feedback and opinion.

0.4.3 does not have any major bugs that should prevent it from being released

0.4.3 still has some bugs that are show stoppers, but it's very close

0.4.3 is still a long way off from being playable

I mean, hey, if all you care about are stats, 0.4.3 LOOKS AMAZING! The game play is awful, but the stats look GREAT.

Anybody else hot to trot about QB ratings of 82.89 and 75.52?

Hey for the season my rookie was 73.72, and that includes all the INTs at the beginning of the season.

Really the whole game was agressive . 60 blitzes out of 110 plays (55%) and no strick zones called. CBS were in man all game long. The qb numbers looked great imo with those parameters.

I don't get this comment at all. I run blitz often, but rarely blitz in passing situations unless it is situation specific.

I also build my defense around a straight man approach and only use zone in specific situations. My defensive philosophy is comparable to many NFL teams right now.

For that matter, I don't get your comments about the CODE PROBLEMS that I highlighted in the four plays in the final drive. There was nothing wrong with the play calling in that situation. I'd call those four plays all day long and be successful in the offense. I would have been MORE SUCCESSFUL without having to deal with the CODE PROBLEMS in the short passing game. If I didn't have those to deal with, I wouldn't have had to go 014 or 005 for first downs.

Sorry my prevent comment was for the final drive. Not your winning drive which was effective because Portland blitzed all game long. Still in the nfl 50 percent man cover one is considered agressive .

Man meant to stop short passes but nobody plays it all game. Within our parameters , current code and your guys above average offenses and better defenses , I would expect a defensive game. Not monster qb rating numbers.

I am not disputing the zones effectiveness under this code, but they would be the likely calls given those senerios .

If this code is released somebody will break it and more adjustments will be made.

Heavy man-to-man coverage is hardly unique at any level of football, "agressive" or not.

As our game one week earlier showed, the code as released in beta leagues is already easy to break: https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/box/1957

Your d calls are agressive compared to nfl standards , and I didn't expect to compete vs. You guys. My qb stinks and my wrs just dont match up well. I installed a new offense that game and they veered from the short pass / run due to my misc settings. My GP is at 77 and slow down/ hurry up are at 7.

My winning drive was wholly ineffective because of the code problems highlighted in my other post. The only reason I won was knowing what situations to exploit and when. I would have won by MORE if it hadn't been for the prevent wide open WRs from gaining yards feature.

This isn't accurate at all. M2M is not aggressive. In fact, it's pretty passive because it lets the game come to you.

I just did a break down of all of my 87 plays. I'm probably the least aggressive team in the league. I would call more zone, but I call zone plays based on situations and apparently I didn't have many situations where I would call it.

Most of the blitzing I do, as I noted above, is run blitzing since it's incredibly effective at shutting down the run.

Total Plays: 1018
M2M: 649 - 63.75%
Blitz 1: 187 - 18.37%
Blitz 2: 127 - 12.48%
Blitz 2+ 2 - 0.2%
CB3 Blitz (All) - 42 - 4.13%
Zone - 11 - 1.08%

Playing man is an agressive coverage for dbs. So is playing one deep. Calculate those numbers and compare them to the nfl. It's agressive in terms of how many teams and the rate at which those calls are made. Tops were 65% and 2nd place was 50%.

That comment was for infinity s teams , not yours, as your blitz numbers are lower. Still, playing man on the outside on all down is a rare in the nfl. My team does it too, but it to test the code not because it's real.

My 87 team was better at zone (everybody had 100s) and got torched regularly so I signed some garbage rookies , moved some guys around and my team did equally as well cause zone stinks. But that doesn't mean it's not agressive in nfl measures .

If zone were fixed man cover one and two would be even more effective and those distance penalties could be taken out. That's why I want this code to be released so we can move on to zone. It's a whole aspect of the game that is glaring right now. As I won't even scout a zone play but go right to blitz cover 1 and bliz straight man . Well unless my opponent runs alot of zone blitzes .

Yes some future tweaks will have to be made to both man and zone later even after zone is looked at but honing in on general problem areas now and refining them again and again seems to be the way to go when talking about the future.

I am not discrediting any of your analysis as I agree with all of it but we got to move on at some point and balance the game out.

If Zone worked, I'd play it more. I've been successful playing 3 Deep Zone on some passing downs, but 3 Deep Zone leaves a hole and there are not enough 4 Deep Zone plays. I also don't look at zone DBs anymore at all since to play a proper zone, I ended up convoying whole sets of DBs and that was annoying.

This is really where I'm at at this point - unless there is serious reason not to push this release, I probably will this weekend so I can start frying some more fish. I know this won't be the last time we address the issues this release is addressing.
