I notice it more when the back has low route .

Why the eff should route matter to a pitch?

It shouldnt. But Goal line has a pitch left and right that in the play diagram the back runs lateral. I wonder if all lateral pitches have potential for this bug. That pitch distance could be facing the passing penalty. I have seen pass plays called runs with quick throws to the back before. Perhaps it's just poor knowledge and a sensitive pitch code.

I see it as get good dbs and lbs to cover man. Why not have good recieving backs and TEs as well as wrs. Those teams haven't fumbled lately, but I did take those goalline tosses out.

Oh no, this scares me. (stuff I'm seeing being bantered around)

Setherick:

"I'm almost certain that in 0.4.3, you can run a Blitz 2, Pass Key defense and shut down 90% of all offenses."

Yes, which is why the current run game should remain in terms of there's something one needs to do in order to give yourself a shot at running the ball. I've seen it discussed at being messed with in this thread and that would be a bad idea.

...also, RBs are a much limited pool, get injured a lot and in the past a 'serious injury' would slash their production down at least 50%, however, I believe JDB fixed this as I don't see RBs suddenly hitting a brick wall any more after injury.

If we're switching to a battering ram style with RBs and TEs running the ball down one's throats I can do that but we've seen what happened with the passing game and I think a lot of fun will be taken away if we shift off into what is being discussed.

But, truly, it'll get boring very fast if we switch things so drastically that as I'm watching the game now it's designed for only 8-9 yard cap offs with explosion runs all taken away or marginalized.

...and yes, I've made note of it there is a bug in v4.3 most blatantly the Weak Pitch in the 2-1-2 set.

The RB has a hole inside, chooses to go outside.
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8632#1565266
Do they stick to diagram of the play or do they have a margin of improvisation based on what they face ? If theyare allowed to improvise, what is it based on ?

I would love to see more movement left or right by the back. A kind of juking or dancing by skill players with the ball too allow acceleration to come in to play more. Alot of of the times it's one cut for the back and that's it.

From what is see backs check (looking to make a cut ) for defenders but how often and how many times per run seems low IMO.

That's because most of the time dancing and cutting back are not effective uses of the RB time and energy and result in more negative yards than positive ones.

The RB code actually calculates the most effective angle an RB can take based on the RB's direction, the sideline, and defenders - which is why some times the RB ends up running parallel with the LOS (but let's not get distracted). That method should generate more yards on average because the RB is always moving up field rather than dancing backward.

It still would be nice too see some variety in the way backs play. Elite ones all look like Terrell Davis running the ball. It would be nice to see some more runs like Barry sanders.

Making one cut would just created another angle to pursue . Real players run to the best calculated angle, but sometimes the cut back to make tackling more difficult for the defender .

"Like dancing" would include shifty backs as well. Guys cut alot in real life compared to here, still the point of the additional cuts was so the back would find holes on busted/blitz plays

Are we talking about Barry Sanders as seen in video games. Or the smoothest one-cut runner?

As long as they make a cut to a different open hole then perhaps cut again to avoid a defender. Any player could do it , perhaps Barry sanders is a bad example.
