if it's only tackles i don't think it will be that bad. Makes sense that my 81 rt was giving up so many sacks though, lol. I think we as a community can cope with replacing two starting tackles. I still don't see how we can deter people from unrealistic position switches though which is something that is ruining the experience for many of us. Thanks for replying, it's not easy fixing all the problems by yourself. We, as beta testers, are just trying to help you make the game the best it can be :)

i've always thought that there should be a significantly less number of 100 speed players at all positions. There seems to be so many generated in every draft that they become a dime a dozen. When i think of blazers in the nfl, there's a hand ful of guys that stand out. THat's just something i always though while getting familiar with this game.

I've actually stopped paying attention to SP in a lot of positions. The only position I think it's a necessity is RB (and now OT)

i think we are all in the same boat. I thought i read where interior line didn't need to have speed but mostly just offensive tackles, is this wrong? Until the weight fix is in people are just going to move fullbacks and tightends to line with no penalty. IMO lineman should never be 100 speed and there should be way less 100 speed defensive ends, but that's a different argument.

I think that there should be an equal number of 100 SP DEs and 100 SP OTs.

I think only the fastest players in the league should have 100 Speed, and that you shouldn't have to do a bunch of math to figure out which player is faster (Speed x weight / fatigue - height + position experience, etc, etc.).

If you were to go through the NFL and put a number rating for speed on every player how many 100 speed guys would there be? I'm thinking the fastest DE would be mid to high 80's and only the 4.2-4.3 guys would max out

Recent allocation draft in 75 .. my team picked OL in the following rounds:

5
11
14
17
21

and the code changes and these picks are essentially worthless?

At work and on break and not a lot of time to look over the players to see if they are ok .. sigh.

I might be rebuilding in Year 2 .. lol

Round 1 - RB
Rounds 2-6 - OL

I win the "this is some BS" award. I'm considering leaving all of my leagues for the next allocation draft since I'll be rebuilding all of them.

Yep ... You win

I just noticed that when you view an OL player in a league you are not a member of, the player card doesn't even show speed/acceleration.

If I am correct, this means the default player weights aren't even considering these skills, even though apparently they are now the most important for this position.

The card only shows the STR/INT/DISC/PassBlock/RunBlock skills, which is what I always thought were the most important, which I guess is why my O-Lines now ****.

the popup doesn't .. if you view the player and click the ratings tab over the contract details you'll see them

Of course, I'm sure he's aware of that but if it is relevant to how the player performs it should show up in the pop up.

Tackles should have speed and acceleration but not guards or centers. The speed issue doesn't come into play for the interior linemen.
