You gotta play the game the way it lays and match what everyone else is doing on the elite tier to survive. I wouldn't make all changes at once. If you group over-use penalties in for Man OLB Flat Zone alongside the changes to get long passing going....JDB would get lost and results lost in the forest.

You gotta attack one thing - see how it plays out. Once it's stabilized then you move on to penalties for 4-3 QB Spy.

I sympathize with JDB because we all have priorities in mind that look different from everyone else's wishlist. I believe the starting point has to be correcting the problems with speed and speed distribution. To some extent, we can't even evaluate whether mechanics are working until that happens. Maybe the current pass blocking system would produce realistic results, for instance, if DEs were slower than WRs. I suspect coverage/catches would remain a problem, but at least we would have a clearer picture of what's going on.

Base plays are for stopping the pass primarily. Penalizing them would give a boost to the offense. Say It were vs a run then if the run fits were or were not there in the first place the outcome would be what it is. But if it were vs a pass and the pass wasn’t overused but the base play was then the pass should be more effective thus upping passing stats.

On a side note 4-3 QBs spy is broke. No body spies the correct way

As Ray mentioned before, you can find thousands of these insightful comments in the beta development threads.

That's like saying Dime plays are for stopping the run primarily.

No kidding. Hurting the defense helps the offense. Great analysis.

I need a drink just trying to read this gibberish.

If a run "fits" (?) ... the outcome is what it is. A more effective play produces better stats.

At least he's concise. (cough)

The play can be useful in a lot of situations, which is why so many teams run it often and with success.

I like to think I was the worst starting OL in high school football history. I bet our QB still walks with a limp.

Some of us are trying to have a meaningful conversation here. Stop interrupting with illiterate ramblings.
