3 different emails. 1 for my personal use, 1 for family/relatives, 2 different ones for business. I registered under each. My reasoning was that I thought I could join the same league and trade amongst myself, my diff accounts? But it didn't work, the system doesn't allow trades between the same isp it seems. I was doing it to aid in my learning, speed the process up. It didn't work, so I now have 3 email accounts that I'm not going to go back into the accounts, therefore the 1 or 2 teams per email account are going to just shrivel up.
Ones I'm not going to use:
funlunchuck
kennewickchuck
cboyer1951

One that I hope I'm keeping and enjoying the game play with:

ha ha, doing this is usually frowned upon, but you seem blissfully unaware .
To trade 'with yourself' is deemed to be unfair and gaining an unfair advantage, this is why the system 'caught' you. But you can still have as many teams as you like with just one username.

thanks Gustoon, but yeah I didn't know that. Is it covered in the 'terms of agreement' that we check usually when joining something? I don't even read those. But ok, I came around to how I should be playing this.. one logon; tacomachuck.
Honestly everyone can consider any team owned by cboyer1951, funlunchuck, kennewickchuck ... as dead in the water. Will only be tacomachuck from here on in. Thanks all for that understanding.

But I would like to point one thing out, as I started saying in this thread, perhaps this is why so many managers just don't return after a couple of days, or weeks. As nobody will really trade with you. So, also it follows that newcomers, not knowing the rules here would try to create a second email and identity with that and new teams to 'try' to trade with, no? So, if the programmer can address these issues either in the program itself or in those few blogs that explain this particular game, then time well spent telling the truth by me? Shrugs, maybe not, who knows.

So let me get this correct,

Your complaining no body`s trading with you and you`ve set up 3 accounts to trade with yourself to give you an advantage over the other teams in the league....."cheating!"

Pathetic...

and now you want help..?

Yes, it is actually in the terms that you are not allowed to create more than one user account.

Trading is a tough feature because usually everyone wants to come out ahead. Look at the NFL - it is rare that you see a trade for more than a depth player. Most trades are pick swapping to leverage position during the draft. Any NFL trades involving what would be an 80+ player here would be talked about ad nauseum by ESPN! Why? Because no one wants to be the one who traded for Herschel Walker again. Here there's less on the line, but it's still tough to pull the trigger on a blockbuster trade, especially if you've been working on your team and have a long term strategy. And as has already been stated, every owner values their players differently, so a fair trade to one owner can appear to be an attempt to take advantage of another owner. I'm open to suggestions but really do feel that this is the nature of the subjectivity of trades and don't think there's very much I can do about it other than put road blocks for the most common pitfalls. No team is required to make trades, and trading is a very small part of the game.

No, it doesn't follow. Even if they don't read the rules it is obviously trying to gain an unfair advantage so shouldn't be done.

I like the safe guard in place blocking users from creating another account .At least i know they money i spent is worth while in here on a fair and balanced game. I know some football sims do not block cheaters and the paying customer suffers for it.

No, no ...no, you don't understand me. I'm not saying it's ok to cheat, or that the rules should be relaxed or changed. I was only saying, that my actions seemed the normal step for me to take, or that it was assumed that I would open another account so that I would have a different team to trade with myself with.

But my point was, that it seemed a natural action to me also, because nobody would trade with me, and I saw no trading action going on for the first 2 days. (or not much more than 1).

My point was that maybe others don't stick with the game because 1. you have a team with one of three areas strong, in the 80-90's (any 3, maybe a kicker, QB and a LDE...any 3 though).. and you need a strong team all around. So you look at the other teams available.., RDE, RG, RB are the 3 in the upper 80-90, but you have some nice high 70's in the entire defense... so you take this team. But you find nobody is willing to trade with you, so your team is going to go through the entire season the way that it is basically, and you're going to win 1 or 2 games.

and 2. if that is the case and there's nobody to trade with, so your team is not going to progress until the end of the season and draft comes along... oh, that's going to be a 2 month wait? ....

.... why stay around?
That's all my point was. Not that anybody should be changing the rules, or relaxing them or cheating to have different accounts. I was simply stating the scenario that I was staring at with my team. And on the 3rd day I found that I had another 5 credits, grabbed another team, .. same thing. That's all.

I certainly see the need for the rules and don't want them to change either. And now I've found that most players admit that they will not trade with newcomers. So, I'm just saying, it follows logically that that may be a reason for some newbies not staying.

:)

Don't take over that team then? Invest the week it is to do the full allocation draft. I don't see another viable option, but if you do please tell jdavid about it. The fact is this is a football league that resembles the NFL. It is hard to make trades that both teams like in this league. You shouldn't have made those other teams in any circumstance, and I understand how you wouldn't want to stick with a losing team. The team you described sounds like a .500 team, though. Players with an overall of 70 are above average starters in most leagues and I won my league championship with no 90+ players and only one 80+ player. This game is very in depth and you can build a good team with players that might not look great but have a skill you need.

If any team you have is only winning 1 or 2 games it is because you are not using your players correctly or your play calling is off
