CrazySexyBeast) will be pairing off in the swansong of the 2029 NFL season:
The Crown Showdown.
Miami comes in as the underdog (+2) for the game, slugging it’s way through the AFC to arrive this weekend at an undisclosed location for the title game. Crushing Denver (rexrob3) in the Eager Eight 41-9, the 14-2 regular season AFC dynamo blew a 13 point lead in the 3rd quarter against Los Angeles (A) (Joshw1999), forcing their Furious Four game into OT.
Using and abusing the clock as they crawled down the field, Miami head coach Edward Smithers made all the right moves on a 14 play, 9:21, 60yrd drive that resulted in a
K Benjamin Laws 33 yard FG. It proved to be the final score of the game as LA(A) went four plays for 2 yards and then straight home. Do not pass go.
In the National Conference, the Nukes are back in the title game for the 7th straight year, hoping to achieve an unprecedented 5th straight league championship. They squeezed their way through the Eager Eight against Tampa Bay (
setherick) 15-7 in a game that totaled 483 total offensive yards between the contenders. The FBI is currently looking into TB rookie
RB Felix Morales, who has admitted to purposefully leaving the team’s playbook at a Popeye’s Restaurant in Roswell, for a hopefully unrelated wire fraud charge stemming from his involvement in the Center Twixist movement in his native Xanth.*
It was a costly game for the Nukes, as they lost both their starting cornerbacks for the conference championship game against Philadelphia. However, ball control and 3rd down efficiency proved to be Albuquerque’s MVPs and the Nukes found themselves once again playing for the Crown after defeating PHI 24-10.
So, folks, break out the Mariachi’s, leave out the Chachi’s, and get ready to watch MIA and ALB have one last tango in paradise.
The Nukes are favored by 2.
