GG Jax, there was a lot of BS in that one.

Once again well over half our pass attempts were the "hot read" - Same player, same route over and over and over. This really needs some love.

I'll agree with the lot of BS statement. Where is the overuse penalty for the hot read? I still think the penalty for play overuse is too stiff too. It should be a nudge in one teams favor, not a guaranteed big play.

Kind of a shame, cause I look forward to our matchups, and I thought we could at least make a showing. With this last game, it's like who knows really how the teams stacked up?

GG Wash. Looks like NY is forever destined to have their first round picks spend their first year on the IR. I think this is 4 or 5 in a row.

JDB must be tweaking things week to week, because last week I was getting familiars on the hot read the whole game. This week, nothing. I was still cursing it all game, and oddly it went in my favor drastically twice. Screwed me the other 18 times, but eventually and ironically won the game for me.

I tried using no "neutral" keys on defense and I think it backfired. Too many big plays were allowed.

GG NE,

Was close most of the way still. Was surprised your QB didn't pass more to your two stud receivers.

My QB is on pace for 80 TDs. This offense is going to hilariously destroy leagues when v.4.1 is released (and that's not a good thing).

Tackling still sucks. And break tackle still dominates a secondary like nothing else.

Take Kenneth Hewitt, for instance, he's touched the ball 136 times on offense and scored 17 TDs. He has 13 receiving TDs out of the backfield on 35 catches (790 yards).

There is nothing wrong here.

Are you frustrated because you are calling the hot read too much, or because your opponent is? The hot read is a response to the offense recognizing an uncovered blitzer and attempting to take advantage of it, and is more likely to happen when the offense is more familiar with the defensive play. If it's being overused I can turn it down, especially if as the offensive team it's causing problems.

Pretty sure it's because his offense keeps calling the hot read, I've almost never seen a good play come as a result of the hot read...

I find it hard to trust QBs in this game even if they have great passing attributes like my QB does. There's just so many bad throws because blitzing causes so much pressure and is too effective. Plus I have two stud HBs who also need attention.

Passing attributes aren't what make a QB good on this game right now. It's being able to escape the blitz and make a throw. I noticed that your QB 1 has 12 SP. That effectively reduces his overall number by 20-25. He also has 25 scramble, which means when he throws on the move he's not escaping that penalty either. That probably reduces his overall by another 5-10. He needs either SP or scramble to be able to live up to the attributes. Otherwise, they are just a tease.

You also are starting two OL with <=50 pass block. The RT is improving and DEs have been nerfed, so he's probably OK this year. But your 50 pass block center is going to act like a wet paper towel.

Yeah, if you have OL with < 50 pass block you should expect a lot of pressure. A lot of pressure and you should expect erratic QB play, even with an elite one. If you have OL with pass block > 75 you should see significant reduction in pressure and see your QB play more to his attributes. The current updates in MFN-1 improve pass blocking quite a bit as the OL approaches 100, but < 50 and you are going to continue to have the issues previously (as you should). Also weight is being considered now whereas it wasn't before (haven't looked to see your OL weight, it may be fine).

On the hot read issue, if it's causing more problems than it's solving should I remove it? I'll go ahead and remove it altogether for the next game and see how that works.
