Now, I assume there will be no more changes to the engine for the remainder of the playoffs?

All the items in my immediate queue are website-related, but yes, I'll keep the beta engine in its current state through the playoffs.

And that is indeed Joe from the AUFL running Houston.

Well here's one for you...I'm setting up a gameplan as I figure you'd set one up.

I'm finally over the anger I had this morning so I can post this without damning everything to **** :)

Not a single flag thrown against you all day and a few big plays called back against us. Then our RB only getting 1 yard on a 3rd and 2 which would have eaten a bunch of time off the clock and sealed it. Watching him run into his own blocker when he had space every other way made me sick to my stomach.

In the end our D didn't make the stops but the engine wanted you to win today FF in spite of us putting together a pretty dominant game.

Go get em in the final!

Yes, Miami made all the mistakes today, all of them. Penalties have been going against us for a while, so it was nice to have the refs on our side, for once. That 3rd and 2 stop was huge but, then again, what I was wondering is how you could be raping us on every run before that, all day long! The difference might have been the RB: Lollis got the carry and he only averaged under 4 yards a carry for the day. I was hoping our CB blitzes would lead to some big plays against the run, but nope. Either they didn't work or we never had the right call in.

On my side, I was pretty upset at three things: a missed FG and two idiotic 3rd down calls, one of which shouldn't even be in the playbook, that stalled two drives. If not for that, we might have been able to keep up, as both our defenses were pretty useless today.

Our defenses are ALWAYS useless when we play each other.

All in all, from a pure beta-testers perspective we're definitely a lot further along than when we last faced each other in the test league.

My biggest gripes left with gameplay engine are:

- Ball carrier's (and this applies to both RBs and KRs) decision making when approaching blockers. The cutbacks improved a great deal but I see way too many examples of guys having no notion of using their blockers. For me this would be the great AI improvement yet to come.

- RBs stopping in the open field for no apparent reason.

- Onside kicks, recovered by the kicking team at an alarming rate.

- Catch up logic, too arcade-like and big comebacks all too common

- Penalties, as FF mentioned I've noticed that it's rare (at least in my experience) for penalties to be relatively balanced. It seems like the ref has bet on one team or the other all too often.

- Huge number of interceptions called back because of defensive PI. Happens to my team 1x a game.
