Defensive line pressure still feels almost non existent. First 4 games my rookie stud DE had 9 sacks, since he has yet to record a sack, and I hardly ever see him even get a hurry. I blitz a fair amount too, a guy of this talent level should be able to make the occasional play

QB scramble is causing dbs to have an extended slow reaction to the fact he is going to scramble. A few plays there was one db just standing there. As the QB neared the line of scrimmage he then began to move toward the qb. It seemed heavily delayed. Perhaps it was the Rookie I had in there. Perhaps that read by the DB is too slow. IRL he would at least drift play side.

I'm probably in the minority but my team still gets sacks....I've had a 10 sack game and a 7 sack game and I think those numbers are kinda high

Note the opponents QBs scrambling for those last games. It is about as high as the two game sack total.

I have yet to see a QB scramble sack for either team in my games.

A couple of tweaks for tonight's sim:

* I'm trying to turn sacks back up a tad. My testing league had the range between 0.5 and 2.6 sacks per game with the last settings - which is about 1 sack per game fewer than the NFL average. I'm curious to see if sacks seem to still feel low or if they increase too much of if they feel about the same. (It will take a few days for my testing league to sim a full season with these most recent changes). The team in my testing league with the most sacks per game has a DL all in the upper 90s for pass rushing.

* I tried to address raymattison's comment about the DB not responding to the QB scramble, so if a DB doesn't have someone in his zone he should float towards a scrambling QB coming towards him. Also, if he has poor zone ratings and/or low experience, he might abandon a WR in his zone to float towards the QB, which the QB may throw to depending on how open that WR is left as well as the QB's scramble attribute and experience.

Let me know if you find any interesting info. If you have comments about specific plays, please be sure to post a link to them here as well.

I played the last game before I read this, and it was just what I was thinking, more pressure from the D Line and sacks from D Line as well as pass rushing LB`s or Sec.

For me this feels very life like,so difficult to know as fatigue/ratings make it an imposible task, but just looking on it feels about right.

The QB is now more restricted and dissaplined when he runs or when he throws the ball away ,which is great, this has made the game completely different from before,it really looks like my QB IS Cam Newton.

Hopefully the QB sildes make the QB less likely to be hurt, than an injury just waiting to happen as he is driven into the turf, Jack Lambert style.

Fantastic job JDB.

A QB is probably just as likely to get hurt being sacked 10-15 times a game as on a couple scrambles a game.

Was just wondering does a blocked FG or XP ever happen? I can’t recall ever seeing one.

Yes, it's rare but it does happen. Blocked punts are also theoretically possible but I don't think the physics are quite right for one to happen.
