* QB throwing to open receiver - still seeing the QB throw into tight coverage when he should see another receiver? I haven't opened up the short route dump off yet. I actually had this a long time ago but it resulted in TE's being the #1 receivers, which is why it was changed to locking on a receiver. If only looking for deeper options is working I'd like to avoid opening up the shorter receiver option..

I blitz alot and that leaves holes in the pass defense. Routinely the QB will find the obvious open receivers. Deeper routes by TEs and slot recievers seem to benefit from the change.

I almost wish you could toggle whether to look for the dump off rather than go for the deeper option. My team has benefited from the deeper option so this is just a thought because IRL IMO a "confident" QB will look deep as a "rattled" QB might look dump it off. Or I see some offenses might want to dump it off against a high pressure D like mine.

A couple of tweaks - still trying to eliminate the scramble-sack, so let me know if you see it (and link to some plays if you do) in week 8. Also I've added a probability for the QB to dump to a shorter receiver.

d) QB Throwing to an Open Receiver:
Well besides my QB being an idiot, I prolly haven't found what he likes yet. An example from this last game, He is a 89 overall rated QB with numbers in all the right places and going into the 4th QT he was 1 for 18 with 1 int and 4yds passing. Passes weren't even close to his receivers most of the time. Some of that could be game planning but prolly not all. Side note: he is not injured. It seemed a lil extreme but you might ck with morbid to see what he did on his end to see if it is within perimeters. (sorry, sounded like Star Trek's Data there for a minute)

I let my coaches scout Defense as I dont have a defensive mind. You did go crazy in the 4th quarter passing on me. I just think I got lucky in the first 3 quarters honestly

One thing I have noticed is that completions to receivers in double coverage is a bit unrealistic especially with long passes. A great QB in real life might get one possibly two completions in a game without an INT throwing into double coverage. Just something I have noticed playing around with extreme game plans the last couple of games.

If it weren't for some of these my QB might not complete anything....

This has been the game. With no real measure besides courage and punish I have been throwing it up since the beginning. I have referenced the lack of a jumping ability for individual players. For receiving I look courage as a tier 1 skill, along with speed and route.

Still, deep zone slows it down and a lot of luck, but of course 99 courage works wonders against anything rated lower. As, my older FS slows his lack of ability to get there seems to have allowed more this season. As I run him in man doubling and as zone deep help in blitzes.

That repeat play penalty is obviously not working, Indy just ran the same play 40 times in the passing game and continually picked up huge chunks of yardage with it.

In fact it seemed to work better and better as the game went on...

I forgot to mention that they ran the same defensive play 71 times
