Lamba has played 3 seasons in 1 league making the playoffs in season 1 then winning back to back titles.

So this whole idea that he has experienced some level of frustration due to.injury resulting in his season being derailed is nonsense.

He has clearly mastered this game in just 3 seasons in 1 league and looks down on anyone that complains because it's so simple to him.

Please take smirt's hand and visit a shrink sometimes. Jeeez the level of inferiority complex is insane.

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough;
"THIS TEAM WILL BE SB CONTENDERS THIS SEASON!!!" -- enter injuries, they finish 7-9.

This was meant as an example from real life. The Saints, the Packers, the [insert teams] who everyone sees as must be contenders and then injuries completely derail their season. It's a thing.

There's a principle called "moving on". It would be fitting for a handful of you guys to get over the fact, that people might not agree with every little comma you put to paper or that someone might have another view on things.

It's not equal to looking down, belittling or anything else. It's simply a difference in opinion. And that's quite alright.

I've got an idea!! Lamba, why don't you quit trolling people who voice their displeasure with parts of this game. Ever think that it might just be the way they vent. You know? The way they let their frustration out.

Maybe one time is enough?

When you spend weeks "venting" about the same exact "issue", it's just whining and bitching.

Everyone get hits by injuries sometimes. It's part of the game.

It funny how you all see me as trolling, when the best piece of genuine advice in this topic has come from me. Actually the two best;

1) If you're not having fun - quit. It's not supposed to be a second job, it's supposed to be entertaining. It's a game.

2) We need injury management tools, not a reduction in injuries. Playing with no injuries would make this game dull af.

You're welcome.

The reason I have whined and bitched about this more than once is because it's happened to more than 1 of my teams.

Everyone may get hit with injuries sometimes but having 20 of 53 hurt at 1 time is ridiculous, as is having 5 serious injuries in preseason 1.

Here is an idea...if you don't like the whining and bitching, unsubscribe to this thread and/or stop reading the replies. The title of this thread is Injury Festival, so I don't know why me making multiple posts about my multiple injury riddled teams bother you.

I'll address this in reverse order: I don't mind. You can whine and ***** all you want. It was your comment about it feeling like a second job and not having fun I reacted to. If it's not fun, if it feels like a second, unpaid job that you don't feel like doing, you should quit. Plain and simple.

That some people put all sorts of motives behind my every reply and add all sorts of attributes to my character, that's up to them. I don't care.

And to your first point; yes, it's ridiculous with the frames we have now, which is why I suggest we get more ways to handle injuries. I believe we NEED to sometimes hit these extreme situation where we feel like the game is against us, or it wouldn't be as satisfying when everything is just going straight ahead, well and good.

So in my opinion, "turning down" the injuries/injury rate wouldn't do any of us any good. 90-some percent of all teams have injuries to some extend and one team per how many seasons get hit by this extreme row of bad luck. If we just had a way of managing (IR, practice squads, larger rosters, player designations (when above 53 players)) it would be way more tolerable, when it hit once in a while.

Turning injury rates/severity down would imo do more harm than leaving them be, simply because the game would get more static and boring. We need the same sense of ridicule as IRL gives us when watching football from time to time. It would be darned boring if the only random'ish element to football was the draft.

This isnt about getting rid of injuries, I agree without injuries the roster management and development of depth are muted and it becomes a game of best 22 wins.

This is about owners with over 100 seasons played in MFN across all leagues noticing an increase in injuries across the board. 2 plays are sighted in this thread where in one 5 and the other 6 players are injured on the same play.

Teams have always sustained injuries with the mean being somewhere around 6. 1 to 2 was the low end with 10 being the high end extreme. Those numbers worked in this game because of the size of the roster and unavailability of a practice squad to draw from.

Recently those numbers have risen to a mean of 8, a low of 4 and a max of 20. This is data compiled over 36 seasons in 12 different leagues.

This is how we, the core owners of MFN fight for our game and help its development. All this bitching and whining has helped drive the development and direction of this game for years so your welcome Lamba.

Without the hundreds of seasons played by Raidergreg, Smirt, Trslick, Crazyrazor and countless other owners with dozens of teams across many leagues, you wouldnt be enjoying the product you are playing today. You have played in one league under one version and want everyone to stop complaining because you have no other persceptive. You presume with you 3 seasons of experience to tell owners with 100s of seasons to quit bitching and quit.

Heres an idea, if you dont like the threads or hearing from owners that have compiled 100s of seasons data to help improve this game....you quit. You won't be missed and I'm sure we can fill that one hole in that one league. Because if this game starts losing the real owners in this game, it will be felt across many leagues.

Nobody is misreading your posts Lamba. You are condescending and arrogant in your attempts to belittle owners that have played this game for years, help support and grow this game and spent hundreds of hours playing it. I'm not gonna sit here and watch you disrespect owners that I have a ton of respect for because I know how much time and effort they have put into this game.

The bottom line is this...if a bunch of veteran owners with a ton of seasons under there belt see a problem where you with 3 season dont....whose opinion is more valid?

If you want to contribute, fix that league you are in. Booger was booted as admin for having multiple accounts and a new admin was appointed. I was invited back to join with promises from the new admin that Booger would have to give up his duplicate accounts and own one team. The new admin Novaquasar went silent and booger is entering another season as owner of 2 teams and PMs to the new admin go unanswered. Without that league, what do you have?

I’m in 11 leagues more or less. No real injuries to speak of in any league and never have had them. I play starters 2 Quarters a game in preseason. All fatigue settings are in between 50-69. No issues. If there is depth at a position I may drop fatigue to 45-50 but I haven’t noticed too much difference. We rock.

CJ threw an avalanche at it and the veteran GMs jumping in to comment in support of injuries running wild, really, at some point you have to stop being "The Contrarian" Lamba.
