Defending Super Bowl Champs NJ made a draft-day deal which stunned the NJ faithful. RB Jeffrey Nelson, NJYs all time leading rusher, top 10 in league history, and the number 1 all-time post season rusher was traded to conference rival Pittsburgh. Nelson had this to say...."It has been a great run with NJ over the past 8 seasons. We were able to get to the Super Bowl 5 times, winning 3. I appreciate what they have done for me over my career with them. I wish the NJ organization the best of luck, and hope they don't have to see me in the playoffs next year. I look forward to working with the 2nd year GM in Pittsburgh to help raise the Steelers back to their glory."
NJ then used their 2 first round picks to bolster their offensive line and pick up what they think was a steal at 32 with RB Greg Warren. The chants for the GMs head has since calmed down with the pick of RB Warren, but if RB Warren proves to be a bust rather than a steal, then the NJ fan base is sure to hold him accountable for letting Nelson depart.
