The weight/speed balance issue is a really great topic and I'd love to address that in an isolated release. But in the short term (and really, to help protect realism) I am still of the opinion that the depth chart/roster governance that we have here is a good thing. I'm looking for solid arguments of whether it's making the game better or worse and if it should remain or be stripped out of this release.

I'm very pro depth chart governance, as long as it is working properly (and I haven't had any issues with my team this season, so as far as I am aware right now, it is). This governance is currently needed to protect realism against exploitation of faults in the code. Even in the case that the code gets fixed, the governance could then serve as a form of protection from tanking. There is really no good reason to allow out of position play to be used for any kind of advantage. I do think that position changes are an important part of the game, and should continue to be allowed mostly liberally with reasonable limits (like no CB to DL, OL to WR,...).

I'd like a feature that sorts players in the depth chart by their weighting when you select their position (e.g., gunner, ST blocker, ST rusher, etc.). That way, you could find the right replacement for any gaps more quickly.
