This does not touch on the issue! I'm not talking about number of targets, I'm talking about catch percentage. My 3 RB's that played both this year and last have gone 0 for 24 this season, whereas the numbers looked reasonable last season. Why?

People are looking for possible reasons.

RBs not catching the ball is not the case, I don't know what's up with your gameplanning but if you look at my team, I've adapted a pass offence approach and the case is clearly that the % are higher for my RBs than WRs.

But looking at your players, 5 drops by RBs - there's 20% explained.

Noticed route running, b&r avoidance not great in your backs so might be the case of getting jammed off line / not being right place, right time due to changes in the passing game.

I'd also suggest that maybe your passing previously worked against that game engine version due to issues within the passing game. Once addressed to improve medium / long passing, maybe it exposed your gameplanning as fragile, relying on unaddressed issues possibly?

Here's a comparison of RB drops vs catch was in 2075 vs 2077:

2075 - RBs had a 98% catch rate
2077 - RBs had a 95% catch rate

Probably need to look more closely at the plays where they are not making the catches and see what's going on with the defense, it's possible that the coverage for short passes is better.

I'm looking a bit more deeply, and finding it very hit and miss now that I'm seeing more data. There is not a chance that this is accurate if we are on the same page. I am talking about catches divided by targets. I'm finding about half of RB's are catching less than half of their targets (rough estimate as I'm just looking through the data on my phone and unable to currently do a proper analysis). I don't recall seeing a single one that has caught every target that came his way. There's not a chance you can get 95% unless you are talking about something entirely different. While it may not be as bad as I originally thought (there are some RB's whose numbers look within reasonable bounds), I still think overall these catch percentages are way too low.

Are you seeing a target stat? I have drops vs completions in the stats, but there actually isn't a 'target' stat. It might be that they are contested more now and the defenders are breaking up the pass.

I don't understand how you can possibly be asking this question. Go to any team, and player stats. Under the receiving section you have all the relevant information.

I really don't understand the whole discussion. Looking at Jacksonville's stats, there are only marginal differences between 2075, 2076 and 2077. Compared to 2076, there have even been further improvements.

That's what I get for trying to do it all in the database and not taking the time to see how the UI does it.

It does look like you're right, the RB catches per target has reduced. So the question does become why, and I do think it's probably related to coverage.

It's not effecting your team, so it's not worth discussing? Come on loan, you're better than that.
