Are you seeing a target stat?

I don't understand how you can possibly be asking this question. Go to any team, and player stats. Under the receiving section you have all the relevant information.

That's what I get for trying to do it all in the database and not taking the time to see how the UI does it.

It does look like you're right, the RB catches per target has reduced. So the question does become why, and I do think it's probably related to coverage.

The issues to me seem so much deeper than just this though. I'm sorry but as a mathematician, I have a strong sense of the story that numbers tell, and I can't turn it off. This is why I have been so successful in MFN. What I am seeing just plain and simply does not make logical sense. My pass offense AND pass defense both went from absolutely dominant last season to utter garbage this season. There has to be some good reason for that type of drastic change. If we are looking for a smooth transition from what we had to something slightly improved, we have missed the mark by miles. This is not a tweak, it's an entirely and completely different ball game.

JDB, are you able to quickly enough find the completion percentages for short vs medium vs long passing? It should of course start high, and decrease as you're throwing further down the field, and I'm wondering if that is happening, and if so, is it dropping off significantly enough?

I really don't understand the whole discussion. Looking at Jacksonville's stats, there are only marginal differences between 2075, 2076 and 2077. Compared to 2076, there have even been further improvements.

It's not effecting your team, so it's not worth discussing? Come on loan, you're better than that.

That's what I mean. I don't understand this discussion as I'm doing exactly the same game planning from 2075 to 2077 with nearly no major change in my roster and do not have your problems. On the contrary, I see improvements in my team.
As we all play on the same test engine I'm really confused about those differences between our teams. Sorry about that, I didn't mean to offend you.

I'm going to pull some levers to improve the RB reception on short passes.

Sorry, I misunderstood what you were saying. Though I was right, you are indeed better than what I mistakenly thought you were saying.

For the 2077 season:

Short pass: 59% completion rate
Medium pass: 52% completion rate
Long pass: 39% completion rate

Short pass should be significantly higher than 60%, that's what I'm tweaking right now.

I'd love to see last season as well for comparison if it's not too much trouble.

2075 season (2076 had a mix of old and new code so I'll do 2075):

Short pass: 65%
Medium pass: 63%
Long Pass: 46%

But the real change:

2075 downfield distance per pass:
Short pass: 1.9
Medium pass: 2.6
Long pass: 5.2

2077 downfield distance per pass:
Short pass: 3.7
Medium pass: 7.5
Long pass: 12.7

That's starting to track, and relieve some of the cognitive dissonance. The implications are huge, and I will have to make big changes to my gameplan going forward.

I can only think the 2075 long pass comp% was due to a small sample set due to few people using long passing?
