Ok, watched my game in detail. Thoughts:
• I agree, B&R seems to be really terrible. Examples included below.
• Coverage is really terrible. Numerous examples of tight/double coverage making no difference below. I saw enough passes to open receivers, that I think coverage can really be ramped up. Double coverage should almost never be beat. Tight coverage should be rarely beat, mostly coming down to skill gaps.
• My two QBs rotated all game and both ended up with perfect ratings. The opposing QB also had a perfect rating. Doesn't seems like the code to prevent QB rotation from working made a difference, but hard to tell cause passing was so overpowered in general.
• Passes to RB out of the backfield seemed better timed. Not overpowered, more like just dump off passes.
• QBs still seems to throw into double coverage quite a bit instead of hitting pretty obviously open receivers. I wonder if QB aren't going back and rechecking receivers that they've already checked if they don't see an open receiver. If they work through their progressions and don't find an open one, they should work through it again and check. Receivers could have come open again.

Plays:

Tight Coverage beat

Quick hooks may need some reworking or they'll never get yards.

https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7243#1309161
A lot on this one. All four receivers beat the B&R coverage on the same play. The SS picks up the deepest receiver correctly and stays with him (yay!). The FS picks up the TE, but eventually lets him run free to stand in the middle of the field and do nothing. I know the FS isn't playing a deep zone, but to just change to downing nothing is frustrating. Meanwhile, the slot receiver is running free and the QB ignores him and throws to the TE who now has tight coverage on him again cause his defend caught up. Coverage doesn't matter and it's complete.

Not sure why he throws to the slot receiver. Pretty tight coverage. Top and bottom receivers were open at times. https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7243#1309183

Throwing into a ton of coverage, makes no difference.
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7243#1309186

Receiver runs right past double coverage https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7243#1309194

Double coverage covering weirdly: https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7243#1309206

Not sure about this one. Technically, the RB is open, but it's a pretty poor choice cause there's no where to go. https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7243#1309225

Bad QB choice. WR he throws to is double covered, while underneath route has plenty of open room to run. Of course, coverage didn't matter. https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7243#1309242

Throws into double coverage. There was no open receivers to choose from and he was under pressure. Couldn't have been a good time to throw it away. Coverage made no difference though.
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7243#1309243

Tight coverage worked, though the defender was going crazy! QB shouldn't have throw this away - was under pressure.
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7243#1309246

Did the defender go for the INT on this or what happened? Really bad move. https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7243#1309247

Not sure about this. WR couldn't be considered open when thrown, but leads him into double coverage (that actually worked). Other receivers were more open. https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7243#1309250

Again, QB throws into double coverage. RB was wide open and would have been a better choice. https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7243#1309260

B&R. Sigh. https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7243#1309273

Odd QB choice. Underneath receiver again had a ton of room to run.

Some notes from the first quarter of the Miami-Tampa game. I couldn't watch any more than the first quarter of that one...sheesh.

Notes from Miami-Tampa Bay

1) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7239#1308416
a) Zone breaker. The NB continues to drift to the center of his zone even after the WR cuts. There is no one in the hole, so big gain. Either the NB needs to stay with the WR, or the Safety on that side needs to come screaming up to break up the pass.

2) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7239#1308418
a) The safety has position with 100 M2M and 95 Punish. But this is an easy catch for the 62 Courage TE.

3) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7239#1308424
a) Sideways punt return.

4) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7239#1308425
a) CB playing the short zone let's the WR go even tho there is no one behind him. This is a stupid play in the first place, but the CB played it stupider. Short zones for CBs need to play out at least 10 yards, and they need to follow their man if no one is deeper than they are. Instead the CB and the LB both took the streaking WR.

5) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7239#1308426
a) This one is on the owner for running those stupid short zone cover scheme plays. Anyway, the CB lets the WR go once he hits the edge of his zone. Meanwhile, 4 defenders are covering the middle of the field where no one is...

6) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7239#1308432
a) Failed B&R? The CB only has 70.

7) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7239#1308437
a) The WR that makes this catch has double coverage all the way. the front DB has position, but turns away from the ball once the ball is about to get to the WR. That CB is stupidly slow, but he's got 67/100 Punish. He should be able to at least make a play on the ball.

8) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7239#1308438
a) This one is a dousy. The LB that is supposed to cover this TE has bad SP, but he has 100 M2M. Regardless, he gets burned so badly that he's 5 yards behind the play when the ball is in the air. The LB playing the middle zone on the hash has 79 zone coverage, but just effing ignores the TE as the TE runs through his zone. And doesn't even turn to puruse until after the TE has the ball. The deep Safety on that has is NOWHERE to be found because he's drifted all the way to the sideline to chase butterflies instead of staying put and allowing the game come to him. He should be screaming up the hash to pound the **** out of the TE as he catches the ball. The opposite side safety doesn't even react until the ball is caught. Wow. Just wow.

9) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7239#1308449
a) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! QB "throws the ball away" and it turns into a 45 yard gain.

10) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7239#1308457
a) Why doesn't the 95 punish safety wreck this play against the 62 Courage WR? I've said for a long time that Courage was OP, but ****. The Safety is getting help from a 100 Punish CB on that play as well. All crappy TEs are now Gronk.

11) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7239#1308460
a) Bad B&R? I don't know how the WR beats the CB this badly. Also, what control do we have over B&R? Right now we have none. What if I don't want my 24 B&R CB to try and jam? What if I want them to play in the pocket from the LOS without jamming? What if I want them to give a 5 yard cushion? What if I don't want them to get burned by an OK, but not great, WR every play?

For what it`s worth,

As just a romantic fan (not analizing every play to the enth degree) I see a rookie CB ,who`s probably so fatigued (been on the field alot), being beated by a very good, experienced WR who`s not so fatigued.

The QB has a perfectly protected pocket to throw from, takes his time, and makes a perfect pass.

Excellent play call targeting the M2M coverage of the rookie CB (just like Collingworth says you do )

Keep up the good work JDB.

Play experience aside, which is a good point by the way, that play was still in the first quarter. If the CB is that fatigued by that point in the game, we all have bigger problems.

Strange choice
https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/954#175022

Pre-snap read, or eyes in the back of his head ? But great throw !

https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/954#175042

Too quick ?
on a 3rd and 10, the qb throws 3 yards short of the first down. No pressure.
https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/954#175032

Not a bad decision, but a TD was possible on that play.
https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/954#175043

I've never seen this before
Great desperation throw !

To be continued...

Posted this in the wrong thread.

Notes from the first half of my Beta-87 game.

1) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/941#172769
a) QB throws into triple coverage. I thought he was going to throw to the WR running the deep drag at first, but nope. WR still makes the catch.

2) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/941#172773
a) Watch this one closely. The CB has position on the WR right up to the moment when the WR catches the ball. At that moment, the WR and CB switch places.

3) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/941#172789
a) Non-passing play, but another good example of pulling blockers running past defenders.

4) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/941#172806
a) Not sure if the WR stutter steps here or what. But the WR and SS are too evenly matched for the WR to beat the SS so badly on this play.

5) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/941#172813
a) Really bad jam at the line for a player that has average B&R. This is another example of B&R failing when the player probably shouldn't have been in B&R.

6) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/941#172818
a) The RB is wide open on the back side of this play because the defender is playing a cush zone. (On the play side as well.) QB decides to throw into double coverage downfield, and yet, somehow, the WR doesn't catch it. I'm not sure if you changed the dump off logic, but here's one of those medium passing plays where the QB never looks short.

7) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/941#172820
a) Bad B&R again from a player that has terrible B&R. The thing is it's 3-short here, so it makes sense to hand fight at the line, but I'm wondering if the player's bad B&R is the reason that he comes up to hand fight.

8) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/941#172824
a) Bad jam at the line lets the WR get separation from the CB. The safety doesn't come up fast enough to blow up the play.

9) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/941#172828
a) Bad jam at the line. The defender playing zone on the hash ignores the WR sneaking behind him. The safety doesn't come up to clean up the play.

10) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/941#172829
a) I expect the WR to make this play against the defender guarding him, but watch this play closely. The DB has front position on the WR until the WR catches the ball. I'm sure this is a visual glitch, but I've seen it enough times now that it's become distracting.

[awesome] 11) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/941#172832
a) This play is pretty awesome. The WR absolutely destroys the CB in the open field by "chopping his feet".

[awesome] 12) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/941#172834
a) I love this one too. The DB is playing a deep zone, and the QB recognizes it and throws it in front of the zone. Throws it early in the route. It's one of those plays that keeps a drive moving.

13) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/941#172837
a) Heh. All of the WRs stop and chop at the same time on this play. Choreographed chopping... Probably a bug.

Great Throw
https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/954#175088

great with anticipation
https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/954#175121

looks like a stutter step ? (if it's the right word)
https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/954#175112

These plays are examples of what i see now. I think that the qb play seems more realistic now, at last it looks better. One problem is that the same play sometime needs time to developp, sometime has to be more quickly executed, depending of the defense.

Watched my game, but didn't take notes on everything cause I'd be repeating myself. Few things caught my attention:

Not even looking in that direction, throws into double coverage.
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7264#1312824
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7264#1312870
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7264#1312894

May just be a bad choice by the QB
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7264#1312875

My would the QB make this choice? Needs to be some awareness when it's third down where the first down line is.
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7264#1312903

Looking forward to the next update on this.
