Is there a fix for this yet? Or should I expect another single digit completion game again?

If there is no fix, I'm just going to throw long passes all game because there is no point in testing something that is broken.

Baltimore blitzed the middle all game. This seems to trigger the off passes especially with slow qbs. And long passes result in a lot of sacks.

This doesn't explain 6/53 with 40+ dropped passes. My QB is currently three or four games removed from consistently completing 70% against the same defensive calls.

My qb had a similar game vs the same defense games ago

John Moore (QB) @bal (W) 36 7 19.4 173 4.81 0/0 1 70 1 44.79

I noted the inside pressure. They didn't do much else so I think the bug is in there somewhere

I have a hard time believing that passes like this were caused by inside pressure: https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8980#1638736

Most of my "drops" looked like that pass.

No doubt , especially when there is no visible pressure , but the defensive plays selected have the middle backer blitzing.

MLB: Blitz Middle
MLB (2): Blitz Middle

Baltimore in particular used some combo of the MLB blitzing almost every play. Its like the game is reading a quick pass before the qb get set. Then is rushing the throw. Without any real visible pressure .

I've pulled those plays for the next game regardless. So I'm probably not testing them again until next preseason.

Could be the play combonations as I have had little problems passing efficiently since. Still, that particular defensive play was called 23 times vs. You. Where's the penalty ?

I wouldn't be shocked if the logic for overuse penalties was reversed...

I changed game plans, so I could complete a pass.

1) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639407
a) QB has 84 INT and 84 Release, but it takes forever to make a decision to throw. When he does throw, the pass is way off. Good coverage down the field on this one though.

2) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639409
a) This curl actually looks OK.

3) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639413
a) The timing of this curl is right, but the placement is way off.

4) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639422
a) How short does this pass have to be for the DB to make this INT?

5) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639436
a) This isn't terrible, but I'm surprised he throws it this far behind the WR. If he misses this throw, I would expect it to go too far in front since there is no one in that spot.

6) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639444
a) QB takes forever to throw. If throws immediately after the WRs start to drag, this is a first down.

7) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639452
a) This curl looks OK.

8) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639462
a) What's this?

9) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639470
a) This one isn't terrible either, but it's still weird looking.

10) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639473
a) CAN OL BLOCK THE DL THEY ARE MAN OVER? THIS MAKES THE GAME LOOK STUPID.

11) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639474
a) What?

12) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639479
a) Tackle turns away from the play and allows the sack.

13) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639499
a) What?

14) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639544
a) I would love to see ONE SINGLE PLAY where the LT blocks correctly.

15) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8986#1639564
a) Look how bad the ball placement is here.

I know no one is watching the games because it's the playoffs, but DBs aren't knocking passes down ... again. There have been 6 total knock downs in the first playoff games compared to 18 interceptions.

To be fair, though, passes defended may be getting closer to realistic: https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/player-stat/defense-pass-defenses

So let's not change those until we get a full season to get a read. The INTs though seem high. We had 8 in our game.

We definitely caught the wobbly pass bug that game. Easy underneath passes missed. Open deep passes missed. Poor pass blocking . Started out 9 for 10 ....without the verbage it's still like a switch gets turned on, and the qb stinks. That's when you should turn the game off cause you know you gonna lose.

Here is a good coverage play where the DB just stops as the pass is thrown ?
