Playing with qbs with sub 20 accuracy results in drops at 3 or five yards almost every time . 20 yard passes see the same results with 99 accuracy . Are the qbs effectively using less than 20% of of accuracy scores in longer passes ? .

Higher accuracy does improve distance passing, but not exactly linearly. Also, strength now impacts completion rate on longer passes as well.

Strength or Arm Strength?

High arm strength made little difference in a small sample . I notice that effect more with accurate qbs going deeper. But That guy went 0 for 18 in one half and alot were drops on short passes . Accuracy seems overvalued at the moment but I am ok with that direction but am upset with some visuals I see on the feild . I could make those throws but not the longer ones .

We'll perhaps it not over valued but I would be generated with 75 + accuracy and 40 + arm under this code as I could make some of these easy throws. Even with very low ratings in all other categories . Maybe with some intelligence .

But It should be the other way around . Me missing the mark at a carnival and some of these scrubs completing these shorter passes , and some of the better qbs throwing deeper better.

I have been wondering about alignment when I see plays like this https://die-hard-fans.myfootballnow.com/watch/2082#382744

Targeting certain receivers seems to be easier . The strange part is that QBs with low FOV are doing by locking on to one guy and if the target is good enough they'll catch it.

Certain plays my qb with higher FOV seems to check to another option. almost completely omitting the tigher covered targets one and two and always throwing to options 3, 4, 5. Where the low FOV guy will just force it in there.

I do see a balance of more interceptions out of the low FOV guy but I almost wish the higher FOV guy would always check back to other more primary options. Especially since I seethe effects lately .

Or it is almost better to have a low FOV guy. Especially if you have some talent to throw to in isolation situations .

I just LOVE this new version & style of football we are all playing. (I'm trying to exude sarcasm in this statement.)

This needs to be repeated...and I'll add my 2 cents here and say that DB's are way overpowered.

2) It's almost impossible to throw to the middle of the field because of how defenders react to the ball. Defender reaction time should probably be driven off an attribute like Intelligence. The smarter the defender, the better they are at getting to the ball.

3) All of the catching nerfs that are still in place need to be removed. Basically any receiver with better than 50 catching should almost never drop a pass if he's wide open.

And whats the deal here in the beta forum? No posts on 045 in 4 days? Is it nap time or something? Is 045 a finished product? If it is just tell me and I'll shut up.

Here are some plays from the recent conference championship game in Rivals...All happened in the 1st qtr.

1st drive: https://rivals.myfootballnow.com/watch/665#116058

2 plays later: https://rivals.myfootballnow.com/watch/665#116060

9 plays later: https://rivals.myfootballnow.com/watch/665#116069

6 plays later: https://rivals.myfootballnow.com/watch/665#116075

2 plays later: https://rivals.myfootballnow.com/watch/665#116077

2 plays later: https://rivals.myfootballnow.com/watch/665#116079

10 plays later: https://rivals.myfootballnow.com/watch/665#116089

2 plays later: https://rivals.myfootballnow.com/watch/665#116091

I turned the game off at this point.

All that trash in 1 qtr. And for the whole game 7 total INT's and 5 total fumbles.
Didn't look like championship caliber play to me, from either team. And yes I lost this game...sour grapes? Maybe, I do hate to lose....but I'm pretty sure I'd be posting this even if I'd won it....this kinda **** needs to go away. INT's, Fumbles, Injuries, and penalties shouldn't rule the game... game planners should rule the game in my humble opinion.
Like I said in the Rivals forum, it doesn't do much good to game plan in 045 if the sim is gonna take over like it did here with INT's and fumbles.
There, I'm done. That ought to get somebodys attention.

setherick hasn't said anything in the Beta Forum for over a month from the looks of it. He "said" he was done helping shape the game. (Idk if this he actually has stopped or not, but it appears that way.) Of course, why would he help now? His play style works.

I'd like to see his programming skill back at work improving the game, but many of us have been on a witch-hunt since this code released. I just want the game to continue to evolve. My Cincinnati team is in no shape to offer any meaningful advice. It pains me to even watch them. Much less try to sift through plays for issues.

HA!!! I didn't even realize setherick left the Beta League until just now! I guess that means he isn't helping anymore!

i think most of the time guys need to run through a season or two to reach conclusions on new changes. As you know this game is quite complex. Theres a lot of different scenarios to be played out and the more times they come up the better one can see whats going on with that particular aspect.

Of course theres obvious stuff like the qb td to int rate were seeing and whatever bugs that come up. But i want to see why my qb is throwing them. Is it against certain defenses? Or against certain defenders? What was the play familiarity of the players, strength, speed, etc..... And how often does it repeat. Thats a lot of info to go through. Im guessing it should take sometime to evaluate it. On top of that, everyone has lives in the real world, some play in multiple leagues and some run leagues of there own.

So i doubt the game has stopped evolving. Not even close. Im sure that was just the losing a game talking. We all know how that feels. :)
