that WR was Michael Estes who was covered by 4 defenders
Michael Estes =
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/player/8970my only guess is the defensive game plan for New York either be CCshara or the AI the defense decided to cover Michael Estes like that so he couldnt beat them or that they thought he was a Calvin Johnson type of WR that they have to double team , triple team and foursome team.
of course one way to see if that is the case is look at each touchdown for Pittsburgh and if #15 was always covered by 2 people , 3 people and/or 4 people then i would say the game took it as he was a gamebreaker like Calvin Johnson so the defense covered him with everyone and took their chances to see if other people could step up and beat them.
well on another play =
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/gamecenter/view/5969#1074286New York had 2 guys covering 47 in the middle of the field and 2 guys covering 82 on the upper side of the end zone
First play where 4 defenders covering 1 WR involved Shotgun 4 Wide WR Corner for offense and Dime Flat Cover 2 for defense
second play where 2 defenders each were covering 2 different WRS involved I Formation 3WR Slot Corner Long for offense and Nickel Normal SS Blitz - Pass Key for defense.
So really if someone were to either use the offense or defense plays involved then if those 2 instances happen then that would explain 4 defenders on 1 WR and 2 defenders on 2 different WRS that the game does that when those plays are involved or used.
