Speaking of passes to the RB, it would be nice to see them win one-on -ones with a juke move or on acceleration sometimes, so that they can gain some meaningfull yardage from time to time.

Ok, broke down my game vs. Ray. Overall, things feel a lot better. I'd feel comfortable shipping this to everyone else as is. Looking across this weeks stats, things seems nicely balanced.

I have only one remaining concern, but I'm convinced I happen to have a gameplan/playbook that found this quirk and it's not a massive issue. RBs seem to be targeted on swings out of the backfield before the receivers routes have time to developer.

The QB isn't under pressure but just throws to the RB right away for minimal gain.

I love when the QB dumps off to the RB under pressure or when everyone else is covered or when it's the primary route. Those are working really well now. I'm not sure how to take those without having this type of play though. Maybe have a QB that's not under pressure wait a beat longer before dumping off to the RB. I had 17 or my 41 completions to my #1 RB this game, and I'd say half are from this issue. The most I see around the league though it 6 completions to a RB, so I think I'm an edge case.

Another example - WRs are coming open over the top of their defenders but the QBs already thrown to the RB. 3rd and long even.
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7494#1352305

WR at the bottom of the screen is open, but hits the HB. QB may not have seen that receiver though.

Other plays of interest:

Visual bug where the QB is facing backwards.
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7494#1352222
Also curious why the QB made the decision he did on this one. He threw to the outside WR as he cut, which ended up working, but was not clear cut, as opposed to the TE who was open the whole time and clearly also in his field of vision.

https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7494#1352243
Bummed the QB didn't throw the to the RB in the middle, but glad to see the DB make this kind of play on the ball.

This is the type of play I wish DBs would win more. He sure looked like he had good coverage until he didn't.
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7494#1352251

I like this. Similarly skilled WR and DB. DB use to almost never get the advantage on this. Now much more even throughout the game.
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7494#1352265

Bad throw by the QB? WR makes what looks to be a great break to get open, but the QB throws it to the wrong spot?
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7494#1352266

Another nice play by a DB, but the QB should have thrown to the slot receiver who was wide open and in FOV.
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7494#1352269

Not sure what happened here. Throw away?
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/7494#1352287

Odd coverage by the DB. Looks to have a great edge the whole way then doesn't make play.

Just to add to the observation . ....

I picked only 3 defensive plays....all counts for that game were over 25 for each play.

I was testing a multitude of theories , including play abuse, blitz one(slb), pass key, mismatched defenses vs spread offensive sets.

Very interesting were the results . ...especially the RB dump offs, but that probably was a combination of our two plans . In other words I was trying to make you dump it off.

Too, bad I rushed the implementation of the plan as my offensive test failed to go through in all feilds.... there's all ways next game . ....but I was trying to get my team to throw only dump off all ways well.

We're testing something in alpha that may help with this. In beta, RBs turn straight up field after catching the ball. In alpha, we're testing what happens if they run to the first down marker on the sideline. First season had mixed results, but I think it's still better than beta. I'm just now going through film.

Very strange, QB rolls out, then runs backward.
https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/1201#220804

I've seen a cuple of real roll-out.

JDB should be pushing in an update to the cutback logic that fixes a minor issue we discovered in alpha. Let me know if you see a change or any weirdness to look for in alpha.

I didn't mind the RAC or the RB patterns , but what's the logic on weather a qb will throw a dump off. My guy kept launching in to double coverages when the dump off was wide open . And the other team qb threw to a pass blocking rb numerous times as well

Haven't watched all the film, but I'm happy with the results this week. Facing an owner that knew to set up a defense to stop my all passing attack, my team completed less than 50% of it's passes and threw 4 interceptions. That's what you'd expect to be able to happen.

Yes no doubt. There is some good test data in this game. When you do watch it I think you can see a lot of what's going on. Knowing that passes were gonna be called 100% of the time I defended pass 100% of the time with a fairly decent defense. From early on thru midway the pass game was still almost undefendable(not a word i know).

What I did see was both some fatigue and play penalty(LA offense vs Arz defense). Especially in the 2nd half. Although I don't remember seeing it in writing. But it was definitely there. Especially in the 4th. It seemed to start kicking in around the 50 pass mark or so. As it got closer to 70 passes it really started showing up. Now I couldn't really tell if the WR's were showing fatigue or if it was all QB. Or how much play overuse was having an effect.

mardin72 has a good test going on that I think will help the pass game. If anyone that im playing wants to follow his lead send me a pm to let me know if you want to be the one passing or defending. The more feedback the better I think.

I noticed a few things. The breakdown in M2M coverage where the defender covers the wrong man or doesn't cover anyone are worrisome, but there is no real pattern to them yet.

1) Knockdowns are not being recorded still.

2) https://beta87.myfootballnow.com/watch/1216#223438
a) The SS is supposed to cover on this play. Instead he runs forward toward the LOS at the snap and ends up on the wrong side of the LOS. He has pretty bad M2M, but he doesn't even look at the man he's supposed to cover.
