Re: People are leaving MFN

Its not the fact that it happened. There are examples of players being chased down throughout NFL history, of coarse.

Its the fact that it has become the norm. Sure he is 95 speed, 95 acceleration and 83 ball carry so to justify him being chased down its the fatigue factor that allows him to be tracked down.

We see LBs chasing down elite WRs all the time in the NFL. Fatique works both ways and any owner worth his salt sets his fatigue settings low.

Just how fatigued would that WR have to be for someone 10% slower and 40 lbs heavier to chase him down in the open field assuming that LB was 100% fresh

Couple things I see on this play. It was this WR's 1st catch of the game and only the second play of the drive. It is towards the end of the 2nd half but still I dont think fatigue is a factor here. Maybe cause he's carrying the ball and prolly the biggest factor is his injured knee. He hurt it 3 games ago and is at 76% healthy with it now. So I think that could be the reason he was caught from behind on this particular play.

No, disagree but you don't have the frame of reference to contrast with this pre-defensive emphasis era.

You clearly don't need to have played this game for years to be able to apply logic.

Is jdb's word enough for you or does he lack frame of bullshit arguments too?

You guys are way too hooked on how things were in the past. Focus should be on improving the overall experience going forward. A 99 speed player (RB Chris Johnson for example) didn't run home runs all game. Wear and tear and such.

One of my favourite NFL clips is from a (Saints, I think) game where a play is intercepted and Benjamin Watson tackles at the 5 to prevent a TD. Are you going to tell me next that Benji Watson was more than a speed 80 player at best?

Focus should be on improving the overall experience going forward.....your words.....what do you think these posts are about?

JDB reads these forums and I hope he addresses the issues brought to light here. He above anyone else knows this is a work in progress and needs feedback to improve the overall game experience.

You keep saying we are lost in the past. Ive won multiple Championships under version 4.5. and Smirt211 has 5 times the Championships that I have. Having success under the new version isnt the issue at all.

This is a great sim with incredible roster building and gameplanning components but it is a continual work in progress that can only continue to improve by offering constructive criticism.

You have played 1 season under 1 version so you have a limited frame of reference. You arent aware of the great exodus caused by 3 different versions in 3 consecutive seasons because you simply werent here.

If this offends you, Im sorry, its not meant as a slight but simply a statement of fact. Ive had teams for 6,7 and 8 seasons in leagues that folded due to the exodus.

I will leave you with this, if a players ratings can be neutralized away due to other factors then what is the point of drafting 95 speed, 95 acceleration WRs. For that matter, why would I trade for an elite player or sign one to a hugh free agent contract. Wouldnt it just be better to sign a bunch of average players since player ratings only mean so much.

**** Smirt! If he had a wonky knee then that is a logical explanation for getting chased down

I've been wondering that too.

It mostly look like a two person circlejerk with an occasional third guy joining.

I know it takes effort, but making actual feedback on the game instead of just moaning about a lot of halfassed conclusions you come to would be a way forward.

There's a bountiful amount of people whom are upset with the game engine.

....and then there's the vocal you (troll) popping in to disrupt and annoy.

yes that would be nice but it is not going to happen because it seems like some people on here have a backwards thinking when they come to a conclusion.

like for example someone said 4.5 version seems rushed (well DUH )

why was it rushed ??

Because people to me make threads blasting the version they are in which in turn rushes JDB to push out his next version .

If you all would not make threads/comments blasting the version then maybe JDB not would rush or feel rushed to put out the next version.

Yet lets kid ourselves you all will still do it and wonder why the next version feels rushed when you are in it and playing it.

Now if people are so determined to make threads/comments blasting the version they are in then either JDB needs to delete each thread/comment , select someone to do that or make the algorithm do it so that way he wouldnt be rushed or feel rushed to push out the new version

And on top of that i think it is comical when that same person who says 4.5 version feels rushed says that next version should be in a newer league or test league for at least 2 seasons.

Yeah ok boss whatever you say because i would think or one would think that if that Person was in that newer league or even the test league that person would just complain about the version and blast it then probably when it is rushed again because of that complain the version feels rushed

basically 2 things
1.) that person and others on here are their own enemy when comes to having a better version put out in this game because what i said above

2.) if really it is not being constructive criticism then really all this complaining/blasting a version/etc. isnt helping no one.
basically we all know that version sucks big time
so lets try to move past complaining/blasting/etc. to something that is more helpful like constructive criticism

And that being said my final thing i will say is this

what my question is more what are you going to do with the control that is in your hands about it ??

In just this thread alone 17 different owners including 7 or 8 league administrators have posted comments because (as the title says) people are leaving the game we love at an alarming rate.

We are offering opinions about the direction of the game and thoughts on what needs to improve to stop this trend so leagues dont die.

You on the other hand, with your incredible knowledge of 1 league, with 1 team over 1 season playing 1 version are annoyed by our comments and offer nothing but insults in some vain attempt to silence.

The development of this game has been fueled by the discussions and debates in these forums. Just because your personal experience in your new league hasnt felt the effects of the recent changes doesnt diminish the fact that it has had consequences for other leagues, owners and league admins.

You cant understand because you have a single snapshot of this sim, playing 1 season under 1 version. So because you lack that frame of reference, you lash out at anyone that does have that frame of reference with complaints and insults because you cant offer anything else.

You post these derogatory comments in some futile attempt to show how superior you are to the rest of us that just cant move on from the past versions. All it actually does is show you lack a certain level of maturity.

Everyone has a right to there own opinion which can lead to discussions where ideas are debated. If you want to discuss the topic intelligently, I have no problem with that, but I wont engage with someone that throws insults for lack of any other arguement.

looks like RB was pushed all the way back to the end zone for that safety .

i thought forward/backward progress doesnt allow that to happen or if the referee sees that what happens it nullifies what occured (fumble , safety , etc)

decided to post this in a bug and see if i am right
