fix injuries, fix sacks. I don't want anything rushed but as a few have mentioned.. it isn't enjoyable when games are punts, field goals and interceptions.. then injury injury injury.

I've played 15 months.. 3 leagues and only made the payoffs once in two of them.. I'm certainly ok with losing. I'm not ok with seeing my elite DL's and pass rushing LB's breaking through the line on every series to never land a sack or get called for pass interference before the ball leaves the QB's hand. Or the qb gets hit, wrapped up and launches it 30 yards to be caught in double coverage avoiding the sack.

I understand the game is still early in development and I don't want to talk away after 15 months. Updates and patches need to happen much much faster to address glaring issues. I don't think it's a good idea to just wait and try to fix things in slow massive patches. I'm not sure how he does it but it isn't fast enough.

It's a great game with massive potential but I spend many hours a week over my 3 leagues, lately I've been a lot less excited to sign on and look at results and watch games, starting to wonder about other ways to spend that time.

The last two patches were small patches - patches that intended to touch only a small amount of code. The problem is that because of the complexity of the engine, even small scope patches have a butterfly effect that impacts way beyond the goal scope, so adjustments have to be made along the entire ripple effect. Unfortunately, my goal to release frequent, small updates is probably impossible at this stage in development.

Given the feedback, I am going to slow down the release rate, probably including at least a full season in MFN-1 with no changes before releasing to the rest of the leagues. I don't like what is frustrating folks in the current version, but I also don't want to roll back to what was frustrating in the previous version that is currently fixed. As always, I invite anyone who loves braking down game film and wants to help make the game better to participate in the conversations in the Beta forum in MFN-1, and especially to grab a team as they become available.

We need the help guys. Especially with setherick's departure. :(

I just want to say to you that all the work you've put in is appreciated - and we all just want to help make the game better. I know some of the criticism has been harsh, and less than kind. I regret that - it's just hard to communicate online strong feelings without sounding ungrateful.

My favorite aspect of the game is the investment. It takes 2 or 3 seasons to turn around a challenging team, and an additional 2 or 3 more to get them where we want. By that time, the player of the game (us) have invested right around a calendar year - so there's an emotional investment that might not be totally rational.

So it is hard to have a team you've been working with for a year (or longer) and then with an engine change go from a QB that consistently had a 100 QB rating drop to the low 60's basically doing the same things that has been done the previous 4 seasons. So I appreciate that you are planning on letting future changes play out a full season on MF1, and am confident this game will continue building and growing in the right direction.

I am nearing the end if the regression continues. It seems like every new engine is a step back. ****, why even have WR's when their involvement is nothing more than an occasional novelty?and the sack game has disappeared. The PR lateral path has continued, etc, etc.

It is getting frustrating. While I appreciate the efforts to make the game better, it should be clear before each new release, that the game is regressing.

I hope that changes as I think I can only handle one more regression before I walk...

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

My first season, I just picked plays I liked the look of. Then I learned about how routes worked, that there's 3 (4) zones on pass plays and that passes to RB's were OP and frequent. So I added some of those.

Never have my RB's been more absent in the passing game.

I must be doing something wrong.

Game's great though.

Can we please stop the tweaks and added changes made to this 4.5 code? Nobody wants to watch these games when the QBs can only complete one-third of their passes and when the final scores are 13-10 and the winners were the teams who kicked the most field goals or caused the most turnovers (no matter how much stronger their rosters were).

To my knowledge, there have been no tweaks to 0.4.5 since setherick left the game.

Thanks for the update Razor. I think what’s happening is that the longer we are in this code, the more teams are figuring out how to stop the few plays that actually can get you big yardage. So once teams figure that out, you are looking at 12-9 type ballgames.

You mean there are actually plays that actually work, besides certain inside runs?
