This game is broken. I've been here a long time and the game has gone backward, badly.

Hm, let me see what went wrong at at the very least roll back to the previous version.

Edit: Hm, looks like when I removed the limits I accidentally also removed the initialization of a rather important variable... oops. This will be fixed for the next sims starting tonight.

The best part of this code break is that it shows no matter how badly the game breaks, the ALL LONG PASS, CONVOY QB system is still valid: https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/box/7789

BTW, just want to say again (it's been a while) 'thanks' for all you guys do with the Beta testing and feedback. I know things like last night's sim can be frustrating when they happen, but you all are making the game better and for that I am grateful!

To be fair, the only reason why I was posting at 0400 was because I had been up all night with a sick kid. I have some suspicions of what may have gone wrong, but I didn't have the time to look into them. Basically, here's a run down of what I think happened:

1) INTs were far too low in the first iteration of 0.4.3.
2) You made a change to normalize INTs. I assume that as part of this change, you changed how the QBs throw the ball.
3) Coverage was pretty bad, so you made changes to tighten up coverage.
4) We saw more INTs. But we had things like play overuse to normalize the passing game.
5) You removed play overuse for non-blitz plays. And everything in the passing game broke.

This game I saw the same coverage glitch . The guy is covered well and right before the catch the defender stops moving.

Same...Coverage completely beat but reciever drops wide open pass

Same....Too many sacks from DES

Same zero reaction time interception glitch by d line ..3 of them by my team

Same bad zone coverage

Same bump and run allowing for too much space after a failed attempt

The different things , besides the obvious special teams anomalies

Deep passing was severely deminished .....70 rating

Play abuse had a stronger effect. Defensively, using only three plays... had thier qb going 27/32 at one point. Catch overs like crazy vs, single coverage . He fell apart late in the game,probably mostly due to fatigue and possibly throw count penalties (after 40 ? After 60 ?)

Play abuse offensively I am not so sure but when I did make a catch a looked to see if it were a blitz or not . Most of the game I beat blitzes but non blitzes seemed to stop long passes....

Overall I will chalk this game up to something majorly going wrong in the code and that's it .

...as for the qb convoy system I see some differences in this play by play rotation of qbs. They both start out cold and by 10 or 15 attempts the penalty seems gone.

After 23 seasons here, I'm out after this one. After 23 seasons, somehow the game is more broken then when we started. It doesn't make any sense anymore.

While I get and totally respect that, and I'm about at that point as well, I keep reminding myself that the game is kind of at a crossroads moment. The questions being asked right now are: is this game a video game or is it a simulation game? If it's a video game where you don't get to control the players, convoy QBs, long passing attacks scoring 70+ points a game while completing <50% passing, ridiculous sack numbers, and every single exploit all make sense. If it's a simulation game, then change is going to be difficult since the game until this point was really a video game masquerading as a simulation game. I think that what we're seeing this season in the beta leagues is a good example of the problems that come with refactoring lots of code. I'm also holding out some hope that what we experienced can be attributed to the glitchiness of compiling code and uploading it to AWS since I saw weird things in the alpha servers all the time like whole draft classes for running backs.
