How close are we to at least releasing pass blocking? I need to know if I need to drop all of my other teams. I really can't stand 10+ sack games anymore and QBs that barely get 50% because they are always under pressure.

My goal would be to have 0.4.1 release around the next midseason of MFN-1, so leagues would switch to the new engine as they roll into their next seasons from that point. That would only happen though if I feel like the current issues in the new engine have been resolved.

With the regular season almost completed for the 2030 season, I just wanted to give my thoughts. While I understand this is the beta league and the testing that goes on, I have not enjoyed the changes for the 2030 season as a whole. There have been too many, too quickly, and too many tweaks IMO.

Scores are lopsided and game planning is almost pointless since teams start getting play overuse penalties in the 2nd quarter of most games. Running is OP and has gotten worse, not better, from previous versions. There are 26 1000-yd rushers after 13 weeks and another 7 within 100 yards with 3 games left, there were only 16 for all of last season through 16 games. The idea of 33-35 RBs possibly having 1000 yard seasons is ridiculous, 26 is already was too much. I also think passing is actually worse. I see busted coverages a lot more frequently and WRs behind the secondary constantly.

I know some people love the endless tweaking and have the time to do it, but I am not one of those people. The changes this season have eliminated some of the pure fun and enjoyment of the game that was there previously and have over-complicated it IMO. I would much prefer a roll-back to the 2029 version and then tweak slowly. The game used to be tweaked slowly, giving time for adjustment, but many demanding owners have shifted that into overdrive.

Everyone seems to want a little something different out of this game. I am not calling anyone out for anything, just stating my personal opinion on the state of the game. I enjoyed 2029 and earlier versions significantly more.

Yeah it's been kind of crazy with stuff being tweaked so often, I also have not enjoyed watching my DE (100 in everything except strip ball for current ratings) become completely neutered by the current version of the sim.

Feel exactly the same. I've been swamped the last two seasons and haven't had time to keep up at all. The sim has been all over the place this season especially.

Its hard to build a team when the game changes this much, this fast.

Also, I think part of the running game being OP is the pursuit is off many times, the cutback is a killer to the pursuit angle and add in the missed tackles and you get lots of long runs.

I run a 3-4 and my LBers still don't line up where they should and sometimes will get all bunched up inside then blocked by the guards who are generally free. My NT will take on the center and sometimes make a play or not but he's not clogging up the inside gaps and eating double teams like he should.

I agree 100% with the first and last statements above, so I don't understand the middle statement?

As long as this game is still a work in progress, every season in MFN-1 should be like this.

As you mentioned, there is a disclaimer on this league. If someone doesn't want to be part of a league where everything could change from week to week, then don't. Join one of the other leagues where you know it will stay the same for the entire season.

I don't understand why someone would join this league knowing in advance what it is for, then complain when it is actually used for that purpose.

I agree with what WarEagle is saying above, but I work in the software industry so I understand software development cycles. It's also why I want more changes.

I get what MFN-1 is and what JB is doing. Just from a players standpoint it's hard to adjust and plan for this league.

My concerns are not whether there was too many changes. It is that I think that the changes do not ook good at all. If anything there is too many poor choices in this one.

The goodS are zone coverage and making weight matter more... thats it.

All the rest were not needed and make the game confusing to watch.

Inverted pockets due to a broke pass block

slow guys going fast due to play abuse..

Worse blitz reads under this system...

I run a FB dive and the half back some how runs ahead of the FB to block? Oh yeah run blocking is over powered..6 line men all season long.....all undersized centers.

This has been an issue any time you've had a RB with high acceleration, and is one piece I am planning to fix in 0.4.1.
