Re: Version 0.4.3 Release Candidate Discussion

Ok, without revealing too much but explaining my observations from watching a lot of video tape and opening up a lot of results...

Approximately 80% of the production from the Top 4 Long Passing Plays has been drastically cut; one long pass from a goal line set has been ended and a certain route design from well essentially all 4 plays now see a litany of things ensuring its set up for failure. (knockdowns, plays not being called as frequently, WR slowing up upon catching it to no longer have a gap and TD explosion, previous gap space now closed off to DBs being right there for the tackle.) It's frustrating due to the careful selection, play build-up and time spent scouting to see it undone with a simple button push.

It's strange, because i thought that DBs were winning a lot more one-on-one battles than somme weeks ago. I wonder what would happen with medium passes.

Medium passes will be ok for the most part. I've seen WRs running crisp routes while being free and clear from the DBs. I'm certain this one route style got targeted and it's predominately a long pass play design.

Smirt I don’t see you as an owner in one of the test leagues. Am I missing something? Or are you just breaking down film in the leagues?

Oh, in the leagues. Not in beta!

You should grab a beta team and see why you think of the changes. There are a lot of improvements made in the beta engine. Your feedback would be valuable.

I think I've seen enough. I'm guessing JDB toggles with things in beta and sees what he thinks needs addressing in the non-beta leagues and starts implementing the changes in beta to every other league. Obviously, major changes in coding happened rather quickly as all the scores have reflected across the leagues and I suddenly didn't wake up with a game plan that reduced 20 PPG off my total or to use an example 1 QB lost 20 TDs passed and 1000 yards off his total from a season ago. I know the exact plays affected, I see what has happened and I'm not happy.

Let’s not have conspiracy theories. JDB has always put out detailed release notes. There were not major changes in the last release to the passing game. https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/community/1/3655?page=1

It may be that teams started to figure out your game plan. Because most of us scout multiple past games, recent game plan changes can go unnoticed during scouting for a while.

I disagree because it's across the board and against any opponent. Plus what I see visually and honestly my game plan should only strengthen as I stick with my plays and scout every game.

Clear example of a running route altered. Runner now cuts in and to the tackle.

But that's ok as I'm just about done. I'm good here.

...and it's not conspiracy theories, at all.

I'm telling you there's been changes instilled over from beta onto the code in the leagues.

PA Streaks is a clear indication of that.
